When i think of the crap i have sat through over the years, the dreadful remakes, and then a film that is original, stunning to look at and actually is the first film that deals with the rules of Halloween night gets a mere DTD release...i think it's shameful.

I would have loved to have seen this on a big screen..and i still hope that one Halloween i will get to watch it at a midnight showing at a cinema, with fellow Sam fans!

I loved the plot, the special effects were simple, it wasn't jumpy (at least for me, i understand why others would get scared in the jumpy scenes), and the way the stories go together is genius (sp?). It wasn't really scary, but it's totaly worth watching just for the originality of the film.

Yeah if anyone has Netflix, you can watch it on thier Instant Play section. I actually saw this like 2 weeks ago. I LOVED this movie - great blend of horror, comedy, and gore, mixed perfectly to create one of the best movies I've seen in recent times. I will say this, though. If anyone has ever seen The Headless Horseman, the one directed by Tim Burton, you'll notice that the style is really similar. Still a fuckin awesome movie, check it out :)

This movie was so so so good! I'm a horror movie nut, in a way, but I tend to find that movies nowadays are about gore and guts instead of storyline. And while i like guts more then an average gal, I miss good plots! This movie, which i made the mistake of watching alone at night, scared the skin off of me. Even watching the trailer gives me chills, and i'm always looking over my shoulder to make sure no one is there.

This movie is wonderfully done, and I enjoyed it hugely.

I saw this film at Mann's Chinese this Halloween, at a special screening, and it was wonderful. Trust me when I say that this trailer doesn't even suggest the twists that are in store for you - especially in Anna Paquin's 'Little Red Riding Hood' segment.

If you want to see this film, write to Warner Brothers marketing dept. and tell them so - this NEEDS to be seen on the big screen, not dumped onto DVD. It's 1000000 times better than all these damn SAW sequels that get released each October.

the latest is that the movie is going to come out january 2009. but i still don't believe it. it was screened on halloween again. more positive reviews came out but yet no film. one of the last articles on the movie is saying that it'll probably be a direct to dvd release. basically it's an homage to alot of horror movies and it's just in the same vain as "creepshow". the animated intro to the movie shows it. it also has a mascot. sam. possibly short for samhain.
