Any professional studio enforces a certain build and weight depending on height. Professional companies won't take you if you aren't thin enough and that's why..

She's not skinny, she's curved and those curves obviously come from muscle tone and healthy eating. Since this show doesn't really want that due to the pair dancing going on, he was cut for not being right for the show.

SO he clearly has strength but only Danny had enough strength to carry fat lauren. Poor Neil
