Michelangelo had an army of assistants to help him and paying patrons and a lot more time on his hands. No cell phone, bills, children, tax forms to fill out, grocery shopping, no website to build to get clients, no emails to answer, blogs to post, cars to work on, traffic jams, etc so in actual point of fact he had it much easier than we do today. The pneumatics don't sculpt the stone the artist does. You should try it yourself. I would pay to see that! You couldn't even carve a rock I bet
