WOW this is great .. when i was a young kid i found a baby octopus like this in New Zealand tide pools. I picked it up with my hand i soon learned about there Sharp Bitty beak they have on the bottom :D

No it was released back where we found it unharmed. It's illegal to take animals from the beach without a special permit.

All octopus have venom but this is not the blue ringed octopus that is one of the most deadly animals on the planet. That octopus has blue rings that covers it's whole body. The blue rings on this octopus function as false eyespots to help it escape predators.

If this octopus were to bite you (i've never heard of one biting anyone) i've been told it would feel like a bee sting.

@Scubaman5000 i'm a year late, however, i was bit by one when i was younger and it felt like a yellow jacket sting, the bite swelled up, and i have a scar from where it happened...that was about 8 years ago and you can still see the bite perfectly.
