  • i love how she kept going even tho the music was muted !!

  • @Gymnasticseverywhere Thank you, she learned alot that night, and she got a standing ovation from the crowd for it. Even though it wasn't the best dance of the night, she percevered and that was what really counted!

  • Why did your music stop hunnnh

  • did u lose your music

  • @ehissong70 no, the sound system was having a problem, and when the bass of her music started it caused the system to mute the music.

  • did u lose your there

  • @ehissong70 She was competitng for a title, so no award was given unless you were in the top 4, she ranked in the top 10, but there were alot of other elements other than just this performance that went into the overall score, like classes and interview, so it wasn't that cut and dry. I don't remember exactly where she ranked because it was 3 years ago, but I want to say she was up against some 21 other soloists. So by being in the top 10, we were proud of her!! :)

  • Great job continuing on without the music a lot of young dancers wouldn't be able to go on that well especially first timers. She also has beautiful center flexibility. Great Job!

  • @LLDancer28 Thanks again for taking up for her and your sweet comments!!

  • awww awww awww awww thats soo cute sucks the music stoped but its great she kept going im amazed ! great job hun keep it up :D

  • @tiffanykingdances Thank you!! She definatly amazed me!! :0) I was very proud of her!

  • wow, thats embarrassing what a confident person :)

  • @crazydevil1313 Thank you!!

  • hate it

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jmjj27551 you have issues

  • @LLDancer28 Thank you for sticking up for her! It was sweet of you. People don't always realize, if you are gonna post something negative, you could just not and keep it to yourself. The child in this video likes to read her comments, and that comment could have been left unsaid.

  • @jmjj27551 I posted this to show off the fact that she persevered and completed a task that she set out to do that I was very proud of her for doing. This was posted first off for family and friends who wanted to see her performance who do not live close enough to attend. The comments from others we have gotten since are typically just a plus because they are usually uplifting and respectful. Remember when posting, however, this was done for a child, be mindful of her feelings.

  • @TwinzMom02 Oh... I am sorry once I've looked at it a few times I love it... Sorry for being a jack-ass.

  • Look up ' Power Explosion Dance ' and click the first video, which should be Dog Days Are Over with choreography from Anna Howard. This is my studio. :D Thanks.

  • @hollistercutey88 Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile, but I will definately look it up and comment!! :0)

  • @theoriginaldancer Thanks! She's actually gotten to be pretty good at continuing without music. lol It's happened to her since then when a breaker flipped while she was on stage... she didn't miss a beat and her team mates continued to sing for her. It was really awesome! :)

  • She was really good. I am so sorry the music screwed up. What did she win?

  • @Multi01Mileyfan This paticular competition she was going only for a title so they did not get awards for their point value but out of 21 dancers she ranked 9th. She went on to do this dance at other competitions and she took alot of awards and also won a title. If you read the video discription all of her awards are listed.

  • @TwinzMom02 great outfit

  • i feel sorry b cuz her music messed up! But she is really good!

  • @hottie13878924 Thank you! She learned alot from that experience. I was very proud of how she handled the situation. :0)

  • So great that she kept going! That happened to me and my tap group just recently and we did the same thing, kept going because we were taught from the time we were very young to keep going no matter what. :) She's amazing!

  • @beautifuldancer very sorry I didn't reply to you sooner... I'm usually good about that... must have gotten past me. LOL Thank you for your comment! It does happen and it is very good to be prepared... I was thankful she didn't stop, because this was her first ever stage performance without her team mates with her on stage. So, we were very proud of her!!

  • She did amazing i was shocked to see her continue that happened to me during a recital

  • @alyssa079 Thank you!! I was happy to see her not breakdown and run off the stage crying. You can see though by her breathing and her facial expression that she was really trying hard to keep it together. But she's a pro at it now, it happened to her recently at a fundraising gala and she just kept on moving and groving... lol... but when she got off the stage all she could say was "Why is it always me?!" :0)

  • wow she's really good!!!!! i like her costume. it's very interesting!

  • @lovedarlingjulie2435 Thank you! She really liked that costume!

  • @TwinzMom02 i bet! it's actually comfy, if u know what i mean...like...ya...and it's something u could wear for like dance rehearsals if u wanted...unlike some that are so jewelled and colorful that you couldn't do that...ya know? if not nvm..

  • @TwinzMom02 well...maybe not the top...

  • @lovedarlingjulie2435 LOL... yeah, it had alot of stones on it... more than realize at first until the light hits it a certain way.... but she liked that it wasn't something we came across at any other competition. They hate it when ya go to a competition and see other girls walking around in your costume that are from other studios. I always tell them it just means we have good taste in costumes... but in their young minds they are like "they stole my costume!" ha ha ha

  • @TwinzMom02 ya. the light makes them ALL visible! haha! but it's nice! that's why i like it! it's also not like....those sexy, "look at me" costumes though either! it's just, pretty! normal! how it should be! and it's actually dancing! not like those other ones of little girls like her with those aweful moves! u know what they are....i'm pretty sure...

  • @TwinzMom02 the dance is really cute!

  • @lovedarlingjulie2435 :0) Go check out the video of her doing this dance on my channel where her music doesn't stop... her performance is much better in it!! It's actually listed on here as a video response. It says" Route 6 - DTU". Thanks for the sweet comments!!

  • @TwinzMom02 lol! okie dokie! i will! she did really good since the music stopped! no prob!

  • she did amazing while there was no music :) espacially at that age

  • @Lexie2761 Thank you! She always looks forward to reading the comments people send her. :0)

  • @TwinzMom02 i have a question :) i am 13 yrs old and i would love to be as flexible as that girl. was she born flexible or did she have to work at it??

  • good girl for not stopping!

this happened to me at a ballet competition once so i know just how she is feeling and for her to continue on and to do it so well is just awesome! so many people just freeze and run off stage, congratulations, that was gorgeous!

  • @kate042093 Thank you! She performed at a benefit recently and was the first entertainer to go on stage. The breaker over heated and flipped about a 1/3rd way through the routinue and the music was gone....she kept going and didn't miss a beat.... her team mates that were there started singing her song while she danced... it was very heartwarming... She finished big and when she got off stage they all went and gave her a hug...all she could say was...it always happens to me!! LOL

  • @TwinzMom02 aww thats so sweet! shes a brave one :P

and shes an amazing dancer, great flexibility and pure skill! you should be proud :)

  • @ocalacuban @ocalacuban...Well the judges didn't think she was so terrible... she actually went on through out the year to perform this at several competitions and scored very high with it. She took overall awards and even won a Title with it.

  • @TwinzMom02 I compete too. I have 36 trophies. I get first place in my solos about 93% of the time. And I have been competeing since I was 7. Dancing is about expressing yourself and showing your feelings. And she is definately not doing that. She really needs to have a better expression.

  • @ocalacuban I am seriously trying to help. People enjoy watching girls who have fun expressions on their faces.

  • @ocalacuban... As far as her looking bored... I think you mistake the look of fear on her face and her trying to fight back her tears and keep her composure. I'll remind you she had just turned 8 when this video was taken and it was also her first time on stage ever to perform a solo.

  • @ocalacuban... If you watch her later video in the season where her music did not stop you will see not only a better performance but also more animation in her stage prescence. This video was posted to show her bravery... we know she didn't execute all of her moves to the best of her ability under the circumstances she was under.

  • you're suppost to keep on dancing anyway..the first rule of competitive dancing

  • yes you are right... but with that being said she was 8... it was not only her first solo... but the first time ever she was to do it on stage and at a major competition where she already had a ton of pressure on her... so we were very proud of her for how she handled it.

  • @DucksRule23001 stfu bytch

  • ...way too precious! That's my heroine!

  • SHE DiD GREAT F0R HER MUSiC T0 G0 0UT.

  • oh wow...she's so brave! One time at Showstoppers my top fell down while i was doing a turn sequence and it was so humiliating... tell her she did awesome! shes so young and she pulled something off that some 16 year olds wouldve run off stage for! GET IT GIRL!

  • shes so good! :)

  • oh my gosh! she is incredible! i did a solo for the first year at my dance school and i almost choked onstage at my first competition and the music was still going!

  • this is amazing!!!! where does she take dance at?

  • Good girl!

  • Thanks! Watch the video response to this...her music didn't stop and she performed it much better!

  • Omg i dont even know this girl and im almost crying!! Ik how she feels....one year at competition my BRA STRAP BROKE!! IT was so embarassing and SCARY! U tell her shes good and good job!

    <3

  • Oh...thanks! :0)

  • amazing job especially at this age!! i mean i didnt expect her to like be like AWESOME!!! which she is...i love her flexibility! that happened at y 1 solo and i need the music to tell which part comes next sooo i endeed up doing some moves that i just pulled out of my head!!1 i like cried my eyes oiut the whole time the ride home!!! i freaked!!

  • Thank you! She really works hard on her flexibility. I was really proud of her that she didn't cry on stage...but believe me she was close. I was the one crying my eyes out for her in the audience the whole time. lol ;0) I can't imagine how scary it must have been.

  • Great Job Kelcie!

She did so well without the music:)

  • Thanks!!

  • Wow she is amazing!!!! So far the best solo for an 8 year old!!!!!!! I loved it!!!! And she was really brave to go on without her music!!!!

  • Thank you!! ;0)

  • She was sooooo good both of your girls were!!!

Very professional for still dancing when her music stopped!

  • Thank you! I felt very proud of her that night. She showed more bravery than I would have been able to do at her age.

  • aww poor baby she looked so confused when her song then started dancing and had fun Now thats a real dancer :) nice work!

  • Thank you for the comment...She always can use the confidence boost. :0)

  • Wow... good job... I know thats hard to keep going when your music stops!!!!! Many kids just leave.... Bravo for stickin' it out!!!! Ps... thanks for your Cars that go Boom comment!lol.....

  • are u going to post a video with her from the last competion u went to

  • I hope to. I wasn't able to video...so I have to just wait and see if the video is workable when it gets here...lol. She did really good at the last competition.

  • Oh wow! My brother and I had a similar experience at a competition when we were kids doing a tap routine! It happens, and every teacher should prepare their students for that. She has been taught well! Kudos to her and her teacher!

  • Thank you! We are actually at a competition this weekend and she got the chance to perform it with no music problems. ;0)

  • Well, she's a trooper! You must be so proud. It looks like you have a great pair of ladies there. Are you in Louisiana? I'm in Texas! We're not that far apart! You should come to a comp in Dallas!

  • We are always looking for copetitions in other locations. What are some of the ones you compete in?

  • We do Revolution, Dance Showcase USA (our favorite), and Showstopper. Which ones do you do?

  • omg shes way braver then i was when her music stopped :)

    i almost started crying :(

    she is very talented

  • Oh believe me...I know what you mean...I sobbed in the audience...lol

  • I love love LOVE her needles!!! how are your kids so flexible?? haha you can tell she's a lot more confident when the musics on but she still did better than you could expect from most girls her age!!!! and I liked the kartwheel holding her leg, that was really near and I don't see that too often!!! your daughters are amazing I hope they both keep doing pageant every year and they will win soon cause they're awesome :))

  • Thanks for the sweet comments! She looks forward to reading what people think.

  • can you post the full video of her redoing it

  • Unfortunately I can't. I requested all of it when I ordered it but where they fade into it with the music is all that was there. They obviously were not prepared to film the same child so many times....lol

  • excellent. my first solo preformance is in 42 days and im dreading something like that will happen

  • I'm sure you'll do fine! I look forward to seeing your video!

  • Great job continuing without the music! That is such a scary thing and you did such a good job.:)

  • Thanks for the compliment! We were very proud of her for continuing...especially since it was her first solo on stage. ;0)
