@HeadbangabIe Christian Älvestam is a genius death metal singer. You should check out what Corey's singing before judging. I love both Taylor and Älvestam but their style is WAY too different to compare. Christian wouldn't sound good on Corey's songs, neither Corey will sound authentic on Älvestam's. Anyway, they're the best singers of this era, imho.

They are comparable, as they are both singers. Mainly i think Christian is better because i prefer him as a vocal composer. In addition, christian has a greater range, a much better tone imo, and is obviously better than corey taylor at screams and growls.

I didn't get to see shindown cause I went to the autograph booth to meet Corey. I did hear them though and they didn't sound bad. I like Shinedown and from what I heard I was sorry that I missed them.
Man, I was gonna go but I broke my back in a motorcycle accident in April. Oh well, there's always 2010...I heard Corey and Shinedown sucked at Rockfest...is that true?

Yeah, I think Stone Sour sounds better like this, they write good hard rock songs, but the three best songs on that album are all slower
ZZYzx Road, Through Glass and Sillyworld which all have a much slower feel

Corey was good, I think a lot of the crowd just didn't get it. They were expecting him to be like he is in Slipknot.
