I never played this one, but I did the play the hell out the cyber sled, the first one. My favorite arcade game of all time. It is a travesty that this genre died out, but its only because the aracde itself died out. Maybe if they bring back tank games it will bring back the arcade?
This one is a classic...I wish Namco would revive their "cyber" series, especially this...there are no competitive tank games when the genre is one of the cornerstones of videogames...a real travesty and a great personal annoyance to me.
@olbertus response a few years late... but you are absolutely correct. In fact, I wonder why this never got ported to the dreamcast or even the saturn/ps1 which could technically handle it. This seems to be a fairly rare game cabinet... I would love to get to play this game again.
NAOMI/Dreamcast hardware would have no problem running a port of this with additional features like texture filtering, antialiasing and maybe dynamic lighting. saturn and the ps1 on the other hand are not powerfull enough and the port would need some serious downgrading in model-/texture-/overall-resolution.

懐かしい。どんなにコンティニューしてもクリアできず悔しい思いをしたり、全機体でノーコンティニュークリアできるまで猛特訓したり......私の青春を捧げたゲームでした。
