The airplane's are releasing intentional smoke patterns, not contrails. After practicing the maneuvers and tweaking the timing of the releases they will eventually perform for an intended audience of onlookers who will be able to read words in the patterns. Jet engine contrails will occur steadily at altitudes above where the air is colder then freezing which causes the moisture in the engine's exhaust emissions to freeze into ice particles that make up the tail. Wind will then scatter the tail.

No structured craft can be discerned. I believe this is a daytime shooting star event due to the object speed and angle of trajectory. I have seen these daytime meteors myself and when compared to shooting stars(meteors) at night they just lack the "tail" because the sunlight's too bright for contrast to see the tiny glowing particles that make up a small meteor's tail.

I've had those silver orbs filmed before in daylight with fore and background to scale.

In fact the orb that I captured was very clear and noticeable as it entered into frame quickly and decelerated. There was interference of some kind as I recorded on my camera phone as well, much like a loud, constant snapping sound.
