Wish I could get another pair of these, decided to get V1.10 SLs. I've had 2 pairs of these, the tricks and red bulls, and on both boots, the stud that had cracked for you had completely broken off for me. Granted, I beat the heck out of these through a high school and club season apiece. Can't complain about them at all, and definitely agree with the swerve on the shot.
the durability is great the upper didnt rip but i played n some crappy field with rocks n i cracked the heel structure. scuff marks were normal but they can come off if you really didnt want them there
does anyone know if these are good for defenders? I also do freekicks and im not sure if they are good with shooting or not? I have the old vapors and im not sure if they will match up with that good of a boot
i played defense with these shoes before great traction. but if you go in hard keep in mind that the upper on these is thin and if you get stepped on or something it wont be a stroll in the park.
and their great for shooting and freekicks just get used to the shoe and your good to go. upper fits very well on the foot
at first it takes time to get used to the toe cap thats supposed to protect your toes.
i would say like maybe 3 weeks max just get alot of time in the shoes and get a feel for them and then you will discover that they are very good shoes to shot with

i was shopping at a department store and i was looking at the footwear...and i saw these gems. so i snatched those up right quick..best $20 ive ever spent
probably, you used the shoe alot so you got your moneys worth. ima get another pair their at a good price right now around 100 which is pretty dam cheap and they got most sizes

Well I dont own Mercurial vapors but my teammates do and one of them owns: Mercurial vapors 4 + Superflys and Lasers.
another team mate owns Air legends 2 and Vapor 4. i own(ed)lol Puma v1.08 and laser 2.
this is how things go from our points of view. my friends didnt like vapors that much they said they were uncomfy and unsupportive or something along those lines.
when i saw the vapors i wasnt really impressed i felt that the studs were too small and wore out quickly. i thought that the
super flies were weird. i tried them on and the upper has sort of a thick plastic feel to it. and the sole is very thing so you really feel the two studs on the inside of your foot. they are very light tho.
For Laser 2 i had a bad run with them. the loops where you put the laces through ripped on both shoes and the glue holding the sole to the upper started separating on me. shape of the shoe is weird and cumbersome but is an ok shoe once you get used to it.
THIN*** the laser 2 is also very comfortable. The puma V1.08 was my favored shoe out of the shoes i own. when i first got them i thought the shape of the shot was weird and the toe box was annoying once i got to the shoe i was amazed. the shoe follows all the curves of your foot and gives you a tight secure fit. the studs are great and you can aggressively cut and change directions. they are also very durable. my friend that owns the Air legends says he likes them very much
and they are durable. he isnt real quick tho so i dont think he would notice much difference in studs tho. he is the kind of guy with a great touch and does tricks but no speed.
For vapor 5 they are almost the same as vapor 4s with the difference in Shape due to the flywire instep piece which probably doesn't do anything and it doesn't the heel pods either.

ive played defense with them before and they are pretty good but they dont offer much protection so that would be the only thing holding me back other than that they are very good and i dont think you would regret getting them

the speed is gona come from you! the things that change are desing and outsole. also protection and comfort.
the v-konstrucks have more protection. and the blades are much bigger just look at a picture so you can see what im talking abot. not only that but it has a duo cell i believe which is supposed to make the shoe very comfortable

Played my first game in my new 1.08s and let me tell you what...i usually am one of the faster guys on my team and these definitely increased my speed! they are sooo light! not to mention how greatly my ball control and shot accuracy/power increased! these are seriously amazing!!
Just to let you know, your reassurance finally made me buy these cleats and let me tell you what, these did NOT disappoint, i absolutely love these man!

1) they run more normal to narrow than wide so i would say no.
2)I'm definitely curious about the v1.10 but i would buy the v1.08 because its a proven shoe for me and with how the economy is right now you cant really be spending alot of money messing around with shoes.
3)yea just go up a 1/2 size

yeah but its also in the forefoot, which is the most flexible part that moves around in soccer so it will have to be able to withstand alot of pressure which didn't work with the vapors
idk really, i mean it lasted for awhile so i can't really take it back to the store since theres like a 60 day return for defects. my friend bought them and after a year they were just destroyed. the powerswerve was coming out all places and the leather was just torn.
I wanna find a shoe that the leather won't rip in the front but that happens to alot of people.

you could get the new predator x, they just came out. The only thing is if you look in the front they still have the leather meat the plastic hard part in the front of the shoe so you never know if they will tear like the powerswerves.

i went from Predators (wide fit) to vapours and i only played one game in them they were so constricting! My fave boots is Predators but these cleats are great same with f.50.8

hahaha fall apart? dude the upper is stiched to the outsole. they are very durable. i say you upgrade you will not regret it truse me. if you buy the v1.08 buy half a size larger

hey i just ordered these. on eurosport it said they run small so get a half size bigger than normal. I wear 9.5 so i got 10. would you say that this is true??
when i got mine i had heard people had problems juggling with them and expected a bit but i haven't had any problem. you just use more of the top of the foot and keep it away from the toe and it's easy
it is really hard to chip with these boots but because of the bit on the front you can easily sort of scoop instead of chipping to get the same result.
these are the best boots i've ever had. i rate them really highly and anyone thinking about getting a pair...
i can jugle the ball just fine with them but when i did get them it was hard to jugle and as far as chiping goes you just get used to it then its all good from there

the pumas has quite a high toe box and as mentioned in the vid it makes it a bit more difficult to dribble, control etc.
predator x on the other hand is really heavy

Nope i havent tried them they do look a bit roomier
down at the toes.
and i get a very hard shot off with my v1.08 since they fit right around the medial
area so when i hit the ball it just like explodes of my foot i like them alot .
the textile is just there to reenforce the shoes durability

this is how things go from our points of view. my friends didnt like vapors that much they said they were uncomfy and unsupportive or something along those lines.
when i saw the vapors i wasnt really impressed i felt that the studs were too small and wore out quickly. i thought that the

super flies were weird. i tried them on and the upper has sort of a thick plastic feel to it. and the sole is very thing so you really feel the two studs on the inside of your foot. they are very light tho.
For Laser 2 i had a bad run with them. the loops where you put the laces through ripped on both shoes and the glue holding the sole to the upper started separating on me. shape of the shoe is weird and cumbersome but is an ok shoe once you get used to it.

THIN*** the laser 2 is also very comfortable. The puma V1.08 was my favored shoe out of the shoes i own. when i first got them i thought the shape of the shot was weird and the toe box was annoying once i got to the shoe i was amazed. the shoe follows all the curves of your foot and gives you a tight secure fit. the studs are great and you can aggressively cut and change directions. they are also very durable. my friend that owns the Air legends says he likes them very much

and they are durable. he isnt real quick tho so i dont think he would notice much difference in studs tho. he is the kind of guy with a great touch and does tricks but no speed.
For vapor 5 they are almost the same as vapor 4s with the difference in Shape due to the flywire instep piece which probably doesn't do anything and it doesn't the heel pods either.

Hey, just asking, i read sumwhere that Benoit Assou Ekkoto, the current Spurs first choice left back is wearing these, and i play as wing backs, so shud i get these? or do you recomend any other boots? please do, im buying new ones, my old boots were Admiral boots, they were quite comfortable but wore out easily...please recommend another boot or tell me more bout the v1.08 and i search for the v1.08, and they were diffrent models or sumthing,like the v1.08 k sumthing?

ive played defense with them before and they are pretty good but they dont offer much protection so that would be the only thing holding me back other than that they are very good and i dont think you would regret getting them

the speed is gona come from you! the things that change are desing and outsole. also protection and comfort.
the v-konstrucks have more protection. and the blades are much bigger just look at a picture so you can see what im talking abot. not only that but it has a duo cell i believe which is supposed to make the shoe very comfortable

Played my first game in my new 1.08s and let me tell you what...i usually am one of the faster guys on my team and these definitely increased my speed! they are sooo light! not to mention how greatly my ball control and shot accuracy/power increased! these are seriously amazing!!

I've been thinking about getting these instead of the v1.10 because I like the material used on the v1.08's better than the v1.10's. I have a few Q's about these boots:
1.Are they good for ppl w/ a wide foot or do they run narrow?
2.If you could choose, would you get another set of v1.08's or v1.10's?
3.I wear about 8 in normal shoe size. Should I get these in 8 also or 8.5?

1) they run more normal to narrow than wide so i would say no.
2)I'm definitely curious about the v1.10 but i would buy the v1.08 because its a proven shoe for me and with how the economy is right now you cant really be spending alot of money messing around with shoes.
3)yea just go up a 1/2 size

yeah but its also in the forefoot, which is the most flexible part that moves around in soccer so it will have to be able to withstand alot of pressure which didn't work with the vapors

ok well the sizing should be the same because they are using the same last.
and the carbon fiber is on the outside like the vapors.
the insole is pretty thick on the inside and towards the back it lips around your heel

idk really, i mean it lasted for awhile so i can't really take it back to the store since theres like a 60 day return for defects. my friend bought them and after a year they were just destroyed. the powerswerve was coming out all places and the leather was just torn.
I wanna find a shoe that the leather won't rip in the front but that happens to alot of people.
so im hoping that my new k-leather v1.08s will last

you could get the new predator x, they just came out. The only thing is if you look in the front they still have the leather meat the plastic hard part in the front of the shoe so you never know if they will tear like the powerswerves.

i went from Predators (wide fit) to vapours and i only played one game in them they were so constricting! My fave boots is Predators but these cleats are great same with f.50.8

i had those same ones and also lasted a year.. i was impressed. the longest a pair has lasted me was about 7 months before they ripped off... and when these finally tore up, i was like damn.. they lasted so long. :P

hahaha fall apart? dude the upper is stiched to the outsole. they are very durable. i say you upgrade you will not regret it truse me. if you buy the v1.08 buy half a size larger

when i got mine i had heard people had problems juggling with them and expected a bit but i haven't had any problem. you just use more of the top of the foot and keep it away from the toe and it's easy
it is really hard to chip with these boots but because of the bit on the front you can easily sort of scoop instead of chipping to get the same result.
these are the best boots i've ever had. i rate them really highly and anyone thinking about getting a pair...

i can jugle the ball just fine with them but when i did get them it was hard to jugle and as far as chiping goes you just get used to it then its all good from there

the material is not very soft so the touch is not great
they are very light though and fit your foot well
