While I agree with most of what Glen says, his attacks on a centrist like Obama shows to me that Glen doesn't see ALL of the big picutre. Namely, the political pendulum - the mindset of our nation - has been swung to the far right over the last 40 years. Unless you are ready for complete revolution in this country - and I mean bloody, then we must work to swing the pendulum back to the left - and that requires patience and endurance by showing average Americans Government CAN be Good.

Listen to this speach by Mr. Glen Ford one more time - but, this time replace the word "Black" - with the word "White" replace (in your mind) Mr. Fords black face - with a "white" face . Had this been the case; Mr. Fords "white" face and most provocative words would have been drummed for weeks on end over NBC,CBS,ABC,CNN and PBS and to a lesser extreme even on FOX News.

Obama may not be minorities last best hope. Currently, he is the best hope we have and to oppose him so vehemently, as you have done, since even before he took office doesn't make sense to me. You are part of the problem we all have because of the gospel of hate, and fear mongering you represent which keeps moving this once greater nation backwards. Objectively ask yourself: What has Obama done for progressives in general? NOTHING. He's in the process of looting social security as we speak. Before he took office he was a Wall Street puppet organizing the black caucus for the bailout. And he was a foundations operative.

Listen, just because The  The fact that Glen Ford's skin color is not as black as some would like is an incident of birth and has nothing to do with his ideology or political position, which is clear when it comes to speaking up for black people if you are really listening. We can align ourselves with other progressive groups of any color as long as we are clear about our agenda and our objective, which Glen ford is, are you?

@hamadiw Well said!!! Malcolm X was slightly darker than Glen Ford. Would anybody in their right mind then or now gonna challenge Malcolm X's credentials on blackness? Pork chop (or super black skin game politics) should have died in the 60's. But clowns like BlackStealth1000 will always be around it seems.

I like Glen Ford, but he is as Black as Obama. Meaning he is not a Black African living in America.

Black people who align with "white" organizations are compromised.

Good speech though, I must confess diluted Blacks need to be heard also/
