Plyometrics is a training form where you specialize in developing your nerve signals to be quicker and you will therefore get explosiveness in your movements.
hmm very nice tut! i am a freerunner i am gunna use this tut! i'm under 16 so i can t this for free i don't really care if i look like a dick practice leg raises and thigna in a swimming pool, thisa will really improve my aerials, gainers, corks, websters etc... tyvm for postin!
Again, it does say in the video - I can't remember off the top of my head but I think Dogen recommends you don't do it everyday. Watch the video through again and write down any important information so you don't have to keep coming back to it :)
everyone is different right. The ones who has real trickin talent in their blood can only trick good. example Anis. he's born for trickin. He's amazing.Ppl can trick, but not like him...sooo sad
I would have thought so, although I'm not sure that heel raises would do much - I think its mostly for explosive movements like you said. The more resistance the water gives the movement, the better.
a couple of questions, if i practiced aerials in water *never tryed them before* would it be easier and safer? and if so, how deep should the water be on me? im 16 btw 5"10 or sumit lyk tht
First off, if you don't have a very strong cartwheel and one handed cartwheel, you need to get them down.
For the most part, you aren't actually drilling the move, but the explosive kick that starts it. Drill reps of the kick with your back leg and maybe you could do jumps with your take off leg too - basically split the aerial up into its separate components.
Experiment with different water depths and see what happens.
great video man. good job. keep it up! what this man says its true guys. but whatever i may say may be futile at the moment. just try by urself. i remember i started training flares in the water! it was a great workout. thats 4 real!
he doesnt needto spend 4 minutes telling people about how its gonna help them. I'd listen to his advice even if he didnt give proof, unless of course he makes me jump off a cliff :)
Its not my video. Dogen (the author) has said that he chose the music he thought would freak people out the most....if its bothering you then turn the sound down on youtube and play some speed metal or whatever lol, the content wont change...
But seriously! I don't have a pool around me! I now want a pool near me, but there isn't one. My school had one, but they closed it. What do I doooo?!
I have, its chuffing hard. I found it good for practising btwists, and since trying it in water they have improved quite significantly, particularly the set-up.
no access to a pool... =(

If you're a wimp like me, the thing about drilling technique in the water is perfect.
I've done it for every single move so far.

by treading water he means, running in water?
Silent13Assassin 2 years ago
No, treading water is staying afloat vertically and on the spot by kicking your legs (and sometimes using your arms)

So can this help explosive power as far as vertical jumping for flips, like say i do squat jumps and calf and heel raises in the water?
hakuboshi1 3 years ago
I would have thought so, although I'm not sure that heel raises would do much - I think its mostly for explosive movements like you said. The more resistance the water gives the movement, the better.
