  • Timmy was a dumb ass , maybe his heart was in the right spot but getting close to the bears was only going to put the bears in danger.there wiled for a reason. I just fill for the girl who had to die because this guy thought he knew Bears.wiled bears cant be friends to anyone..not even you Tim. rip i know you meant well

  • what he did was unique.

lots of love to him and the bears.

  • this is one of the best documentaries I ever seen.

Together with the guy that lived with wolfs and the other one playing with wild tigres.

There is something close to magic in movies like that people get close to animals we fear and have nightmares about and show that yes they are dangerous ofcourse but they are not brutal monstres that only see humans as food. Only bear to do that is the Polar Bear.

  • Just enjoy it.

  • Chanson magnifique, film magnifique. RIP .

  • when i saw the film i was tihnking such a crazy guy but a honest guy .. and at the end i was very sad this song makes a magic moment i think at the end.

  • @BossL16 The missunderstanding of Timothy of many people I understand. They are living in their own small world, their own "Labyrinth" and they will never find a way out. He found it. So what. I'm happy for him.

  • I hear this song and I tear up everytime. I was listening to it on the way to rochester ny from my home in syracuse. Such an amazing simple song about human adjustment, tim didnt make it. He was on a path to nothing before he found this passion which made a very real impact. He was an alcoholic/addict as I understood it and his higher power was in this simple beauty he found in the wild. Typical of an addict he went to far, he tried to get to high, he pushed it to far, loved one(s) suffered also

  • @jbosu21 Do you really think te pushed it to far? I don't think so. He just lived his way of live. And I think we don't have the right to question it.

  • An diesers Stelle hattte ich so einen dicke Gänsehaut...

  • Hey let's get together and fly to Africa and make movies of us talking to the lions. We can put a tent up in the lions den and invite our girlfriends to stay with us while we talk nice to the lions. What is the worse that could happen?

  • Makes me long for something more... what I don't know, but my spirit is lifted by this moving story..

  • Saw this movie several years ago. This song is wonderful! The movie was good as well. Thanks for posting this for all of us.

  • @RioAbajoBelen Just enjoy it.

  • At 1:54 , does he say Quantro or Quantrill as in William Quantrill?

  • I could die for them become wrong He truly died for them.

  • The guy was a penny short of a pound and it is obvious because he soorted the same haircut as Jeff Daniel's did in Kingpin and there is no comparisson as Jeff Daniel's is "The Dude"! So Timmy Treadwell lost the plot and somehow convinced himself that he could live/mix with nature and nature's beasts. As Darwin observed long before Treadwell's parents were born and documented that information - Nature shows no mercy. More 'Idiot Man' than 'Grizzly Man'

  • @nekromachine Jeff Bridges was the dude. i make the same mistake too

  • @Zanderzan1983 Opps and thank you for correcting me on that one Zanderzan1983 dude ;)

  • @nekromachine Oh and Jeff Daniels waasn't in Kingpin either, that was Randy Quaid. Cant say I ever make that mistake

  • @nekromachine hmmmm i think you miss the point. Yes, treadwell was a few fries short of a happy meal, but that is what draws a lot of people to his story. He was a dreamer and yes that dream led to tragedy, for more than just himself. His story was like a greek tragedy. You just knew it wasnt going to end well, but it fascinates you anyway.

  • i love everything about this song

  • Timothy Treadwell: The coyotes miss you

  • A tribute to all the wildlife warriors that have graced our earth: Steve Irwin, Jane Goodall, Diane Fossey, Jeff Corwin, and countless others who have strived to better the world for animals and people

  • i like the lines " there's no place for an hombre like i am, in this world of asphalt and steel" In hollywood media they portray the world as a wilderness out there, but the rain forests are dissapearing, animals are being mercilessly slaughtered, and pollution has a drastic effect on the fragile ecology. We need to be more ecofriendly as a nation and not the most dangerous animals on the planet

  • The world was meant to be wild and free. This song evokes feelings of a man who wishes he had been born in the 1800s before civilization took its toll on the world. It really is a beautiful sonf

  • What I can say about Timothy Treadwell... He was a man that I would like to have knew very much!!! I'm happy that we can find men like Timothy in the world. R.I.P Timothy!! We love you!!

  • Does anybody have a youtube link of this version? The videos I find are old and the quality is bad. Thanks!

  • RIP Timothey!

"...and the night as the moon cross the mountains - one more coyote was heard...and he goes....hoooyip hooyip hooo..."

  • kinda had it coming.....

  • I think he wanted to die with the bears and not in the city,, @thehannahsaurus your all right about him

he was much more happy there as in the city

    RIP

  • lol fox tried to bite off his finger

  • rip timothy treadwell

  • why do people make fun of a man who found a peace which in life we search for ... although he might have died for his purpose he lives on through his memoirs

  • @ldoherty1991 Maybe because the world is full of foollishes!! : - (((((((

  • All I can say about Treadwell is, you play with fire, your going to get burned.

  • @duckkillerclydeclyde Timothy Treadwell was a dreamer and unfortunatelly real life sometimes is a nightmare.

  • Looking back... Being a fox man might have been a better idea.

  • RIP you crazy bear of a guy.

  • Don't feed the bears.

  • Rest in peace,Timothy Tredwell,&Ryan Dunn.

  • MMA Most Wanted - Great song!

  • I'm a 36 year old man and whenever I hear this song or watch this video, it makes me think of the movie and it's a struggle to hold the tears back. It takes courage to just pack up and head out into the wilderness to live for months at a time. Especially with no sign of civilization anywhere nearby. I admire Timothy for who he was. I doubt I'll ever be half the man that he was. We can all thank him for the best bear footage ever.

R.I.P Timothy, I hope to see you on the other side.

  • @wapiti128 His inference that our "so called civilized society" is less honest, real, genuine, or ethical does gnaw at the psyche.

  • this reminds me of a gr8 friend that passed lst yr , she showed me this doc and it was gr8 bt now the song reminds me of her , that's 4 showing me this jo love you lots , al see you again darling xXx

  • shows how ignorant you are to compare domesticated, thru centuries, animals to predators in the wild. I am a biology prof Unv of Osaka, japan. I spent many years studing predators in the american northwest.

  • ....breaks my heart every time, you get to the point at 0:38 , where the pilot sings "Treadwell is gone" instead of "Red wolf is gone"....so so devastating and beautiful.

  • Beautiful movie about one dreamer...Timothy go to realize a dream.Pay a bigest price - own life.

  • Thank you!!

  • Man lives with bears. Bears eat man.

    A truly amazing story.

  • actually foxes didnt like him...he feed them...which you are not supposed to do...of course animals will take the easy meal....bears too.

  • @Dojocho By that same logic, dogs don't like their owners either, since they're only in it for the food too, right?

  • aspiration

  • at 2:20 i would be crapping my pants

  • @ger3nj i wouldnt be able to move

  • hay booboo we got food XD

  • " I loved that bee...."

  • Herzog's right. Animals are not human beings. they don't feel compassion (at best not in the same way as we do) and the only thing we see is either indifference or hunger. It is an illusion to think that by attributing human feelings to animals they will consequently behave like us. Those bears did not need Treadwell's protection. I'm not saying what he did was not noble but the terrible irony behind it gives one to think.

  • @Regenmacher175 he's wrong actually...Humans are animals themselves. Smarter than other animals but still animals. Apes. (and mammals)

  • Somehow everything came together in this ending. Best part of the documentary. Free of the morbid undertone it had.

  • this whole thing just makes me sick to my stomach. how can anyone have respect for this guy, he was mentally ill how can people not see it? he didnt do one god damn thing for the bears he loved oh so much, and they didnt give a shit about him...because they're bears...he put himself, and his girlfriends life in danger and they both were shredded alive for it. its disgusting.

  • @loveoffair i think the 'respect' some people have for timothy is for his character. I mean, it's OBVIOUS that he truely loved these aniamls. He was the head to an organization sworn to protect alaskan grizzlys, and he traveled to schools and taught children for no charge. He wasn't nessarily stupid either- he KNEW how dangerous bears were, he KNEW they could kill him, he KNEW they might. and of course they did. I'm not saying he was right in disturbing them, just that he wasn't all bad.

  • @0Smilelikeyoumeanit oh i never said he was all bad, i said he was all fucked up. you can be completely out of it and still have good intentions/be nice.

  • Great song!

  • This is absolutely gorgeous. Amazing footage and amazing way you put it together. Only people with a true love and respect for nature will ever understand Treadwell's journey. He went where so many of us only dream of. He was a pathfinder. He followed no one , merely forged his own path through this world. He may be gone, but he will forever live in the wilds of Alaska... I think in a way, his death, was metaphoric in nature. He literally became part of what he loved so dearly.

  • @Implosion756 yeah his story really is touching, just watching his story through a camera is beautiful, just imagine being there and taking all that in, wow!

  • Wouuuuuyoup wouuyououpouuu

  • I think this song truly captures the transition that Timothy wished to make into the wild ... finally he got his wish. RIP my friend.

  • Thank's Timothy, I'll ever take you with me in my wild life, you are my master :) we are kind warriors.

  • people are so fkn imature i swear have fkn respect i ean the man ONLY died. assholes

  • C'est un fou ce mec ...

  • Timmy is my hero. Ive grown up in a world of drugs and death. I want to be like tim. He had a purpose. I'l never stop thinking of you...........

  • Thanks Timothy for these unbelievably moving scenes : )

  • everytime i watch this movie i just cry (and i'm a guy) i really hope one day i can do something like him.

where ever you are Timothy, i hope you know you changed my life

    long live treadwell!

  • @thetsarnicholi It's pretty amazing that he was able to do what he wanted for so long. Most of the people I know either hate or at best are neutral toward their work. They don't want to do it, but chances are they are going to do it until they die of a heart attack or a car accident or something. Is it better to love what you do despite it being dangerous? I think maybe so.

  • @hexrei You are so right. Wise said.

  • F*CK PEOPLE, ANIMAL RULE!

  • Nature rules!

  • Treadwell was an ass. He got what he deserved. And a poor hungry bear paid the price for Treadwell's stupidity.

  • Comment removed

  • @xnavybandit and you know what's funny? tim would definitely agree that the biggest tragedy was the death of the bear.

  • @xnavybandit

No one deserves to die, dont be a douche.

  • @MurialManSackBoys

(sniff) how progressive..yeah he deserved just what he got.

  • @xnavybandit

    Go do something creative idiot!

  • @MurialManSackBoys in fairness though what he did was ridiculous, these are wild animals not people, if you push them to far they'll react, even domesticated animals, see how long you can tempt your dog or your cat with a piece of meat and see how quick they snap it up,... imagine doing that to a bear,...

  • @MurialManSackBoys

I agree, most people doesnt deserve to die, Timothy certainly didnt deserve to die

  • This is beautiful. Timothy Treadwell was a great human. Werner rules, too.

  • I was listening to the pilot sing this song and when he says the dredwell is gone it's should have been the red wolf is gone.

  • @skdboot He sings "Treadwell is gone", you know, the dude "Grizzly man" referres to. See the connection?

  • nice one r.i.p tim n amie

  • R.I.P. Grizzly man, the wild One.

  • His story touches all of us in some way. Even if he was... yeah, a little crazy.

  • If it wasnt for the idiot tkt agent at the arpt-I am sure Mr Treadwell would still be with us and the Bears. Airline employees are slopeheads!

  • @goodguymassage And what did he do?

  • @AngellusLovegood He refused to accept Timothys tkt for some bs reason-so Tim turned around and went back into the grizzly maze when he normally would have been going back to Los Angeles. Tim only spent the summers out there with the Bears-very sad story-but I greatly admire this guy!

  • @goodguymassage Yeah I knew he was out there later than usual - but I didn't know why, just that it wasn't one of "his" bears that killed him. And I missread what you wrote and thought you meant the pilot that always picked him up out in the maze. I was sorta "and what did HE do wrong?!" But then I understand better. My misstake.

  • if i dident die hi at stil been ther

  • GRIZZLY MAN FOREVER...

  • i cant wait for the next Tim T next gen who never herd of this tragedy and will try the same old stunts.. Maybe next time he/she wont take another to the grave with them

  • @ETECHJOEs get a life...then you can talk

  • @ETECHJOEs think before you speak

  • I cannot listen to this song without a weird feeling inside, just sadness mixed with the beautiful surroundings of the video

  • true music

  • The obvious question is why he didn't just become Fox Man. Those foxes were way cuter and actually liked him.

  • @7freddie7 Timothy Treadwell's mission & most sincere desire was to protect & defend the Grizzly's. Even at the expense of his life. Not that his death was in any way his desire. With no TV or Internet, Coyote, Fox, Raven -all of nature for that matter was his friend & companion. We are all interconnected. In life & in death.

  • @7freddie7 i fucking love this comment!

  • @7freddie7 Maybe because love and passion has no explanation, and he had a strong passion about bears!

  • 1min25sec...he trips on a rock and you can see fear of an attack for a split sec..thought the bear was going to jump on him cuase of the sudden movement...

  • I have watched the documentary that was made about Tredwell several times, and the most amazing thing to me is the incredible footage that timothy collected over his 13 years in Alaska among the bears, with no camera crew... That is a huge accomplishment.....I cant think of anyone else that has took that much footage of any animal on there own.......Its so fascinating and incredible what you did with your life Timothy ........RIP

  • He might have been there for the bears but the best footage was with the Foxes imho... just awesome to watch.

  • R.I.P. Timothy xxx We love you so much and we will always remember you xxx

  • I like to say that I'm a pretty hard man, but this made even the likes of me come dangerously close to tears :P

  • @joniso89 can't agree with you more, the guy also shot so many awesome footages that tv channels team can't do.

  • lose it every time during this scene. he goes, "and treadwell is gone" and on come the eye-faucets

  • People said he deserved to die and that it was his fault for going out there and dying. But the reason we make our society is so WE can live in harmony and live along while and do what we have been doing for years. The man lived his life and he documented for a very long time and died from it. But he didn't throw himself into it and die. He lived the life of a bear and died, just like every other bear.

  • @Brandon75689 I agree in theory but lets not forget, the worst thing that could happen to these animals would be that they lose their fear of man. That said you have to ask who Timothy Treadwell was really trying to help, the animals or himself. Then you have to recognize that hes basically putting the animals in danger just by being there. While his intention may have been pure the practice of what he was doing was really in poor taste.

  • Lemme tell ya somthing, my man timmy had balls of steel

  • I met Don Edwards in 2005 at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival in Cal and he

is a great singer and Texan dude. This song is so moving and melancholy and stirs the soul.

  • The most powerful ending and ending song ive ever seen so close to crying.RIP Treadwell

  • Beautiful video and beautiful man. He found his dream, gave up his addictions, and found joy in what he did. A mean old bear took him and Amy - what a way to transform. We're all going to transition someway sometime - it is what it is. Life is beautiful and the lovers went together. She's not here to be haunted by what she saw - lovely for them both. All is well. Always is.

  • The last thing in the world that Timothy would have wanted is to have them kill that bear although I understand why they did it...

  • I saw the documentary today, I loved the amazing recordings, his passion, and his strong faith in the work he thought he was doing.

As much as i respect that guy, I have to say that my conclusion is that he was tootally out of his mind, living in his own little world with a twisted point of view of how the "human world" is.

  • @Cruisefuckinkalem But once again: I loved his recordings, his strong feelings for all animals that crossed his way.

  • Nature is so damn perfect in all the ways that most humans can never understand.

  • Almost cried at the end of this film, atleast he died doing what he loved..

    Rest In Peace Tim...

  • what a beautiful, melancholic song. and what a great choice by Herzog. would love to know how the footage with the pilot came about - did Herzog ask him to sing it or did the pilot do it himself, thereby putting Herzog on to this song, which so suits the film?

  • He who dies young is dear to the gods.

    Rest in peace, Timothy.

May the ground be slight to you !

We will never forget your teachings.

  • This is why I love YouTube.

  • Pooooo Wiiiip Poooooh Wip Pooooh...lol. Pure tune an Nice video!

    RIP Tredwell

  • @cent1989 WOOOH YUP WOOOOH YUP WOOOO0OoH...

  • He died for his cause :)

  • @Butternut731863: The sad thing is that his girlfriend didn't want to, but did anyways...

  • This film is brilliant and one of my favorite docs of all time. The KEY to understanding Tim's persona is that, very much like myself, he didn't feel comfortable around people......animals and nature were his solace. He wasn't made for these times.

  • @MrNewerbeg exactly,so true. wildlife is great i dont feel comfortable around people either. im not going to stay in the city when i grow older, i will move and ecsape to the wild as quick as i can! R.I.P Timothy Treadwell

  • Great Timothy Threadwell!

  • the beginning scene where he walks away into the landscape and the foxes follow him is so awesome..

yes this guy was crazy...but also amazing.

  • I love, love, love, over and over, I'll watch it again and again, I respect Timothy. I miss him, Wish he could be around to share more.

  • i feel for the guy he was tryin to do some good but he was in a national forest "protecting" bears there are no guns aloud where he was at and any native alaskian would not go out into the woods without some type of fire arm... beter luck next time WHOOO YUP WHOOOO YUP WHOOOO!!!!!

  • The worlds hero! I adore him! Rest In Peace Timothy "The Grizzly man"!

  • I remember hearing about this story during River Monster. It was the same pilot.

  • This movie is the #1 un-intentional comedy movie of all time

  • This song is so beautiful and sad. Believe me, this isn't my kind of music but this song is amazing. I'll have to check out his other stuff

  • Brave, brave man crazy or not who are we to judge...

but sadly I beleive he knew what he had instore for him. I think it was a planned suicide

think about it.. hungry bears- he loved them- could have been low- camped in a stupid area - without protection of an electric fence..? he knew to much to let all respect slip away in an area such as that.

  • really touching song brings tears to my eyes. yeah maybe he was a bit crazy but he did what he belived in and i think yeah he might of interefeered a bit to much but he was far better a person than those who were cruel to the bears. Throw'in rocks etc..

    R.I.P Tim and Aime

Atleast he was pationate about something meaningful

  • great documentary film. Great song. Gives me goosebumps.

  • I think his intention was good to help bears.

  • My opinion is that the animals didnt need him , he needed them. I believe that he was a attention whore , he got what he desserved i dont think that the bears ever wanted him there...

  • Why did he ever camp in the alders? He said himself it's better to camp out in the open where he can make his presence and not surprise the bears.

  • R.I.P GRISSLY MAN WE LOVE YOU

  • does anyone besides me think this song is hilarious? hahaha who yip who yip who

  • Comment removed

  • @solaranus That comment of yours was validated by association. Try to see things from the other perspective huh?

  • Comment removed

  • @solaranus Beeing called a fucking idiot is not something positive, therefore something you should think about before posting. It's his opinion, no need to call names because you don't think it's correct.

  • Touching indeed... I don't know what I think about that man. He sure seemed a little crazy, but who am I to judge. It was a great documentary non the less and he gave the world some very unique footage. That thing is for sure.

  • 2:27 - 2:29, look at the eyes of it, beautiful animals.. You can't tell one of these would kill Timmy..

    Rest in Peace.

  • R.I.P - Grizzly man, my thought are with you man!

  • love this song... as for timothy treadwell, him and i both share a deep love for animals and nature. timothy's problem was he did not have a real sense of reality. im not saying he was crazy but he may have been mentally ill. he truly believed he needed to protect the bears. i feel bad for timothy as i do for any mentally ill person, i do not see his death as a tragedy though, only amy's. tim in a way got what he deserved, but it is what he wanted

  • he was the a good person...stop disrespecting tim.....

you must have heart to do what he has done, but you must have balls too..

thanks tim for the story, for the images...you are a legend now...rip timothy :'(

  • 100 bucks says he fed them, and i agree with slfisher04 . Younggunkill, watch it again, i think that bears name was the grinch, one he DIDNT like, that guy was a lier through and through anyway, saying how "by himself" he was when someone was always with him

  • @vancouverbc69 no there was 2 points where there was some one with him thats 2 summers outa 13

  • @iTzNightCrawler how do you know? bears eat people, its why i pack a gun in the woods, i would HATE to have to shoot one, even with it i still get scared, and i forgot it was on the 13th summer OOOOOOOOOO , all in all, i could be less of a dick , i dont beleive anyone should value a random animals life over a human. (i actually STRONGLY disagree with it) But may he rest in peace , he meant well

  • the bear that killed him was an very old 28 year old bear which was one of his bears but the idiot was with that bear which was starving cause of lack of food and it was old and sick so the bear ate him and his girlfriend...its clear this guy had no brains anyone with common sense would not be near a hungry old male bear when its the season of no food ...he was a retard never the less rip

  • @mamadgavkosh NO ..... its a bear, age , sickness, whatever, the first thing i said when i saw that bear is: "wow he looks hungry" than the narrator said it too, this guy had phyc probs clearly

  • Watched the documentary last night and I think after George Adamson (Father of Lions), Timmy strikes another chord in the hearts of humans, but unfortunately most of us/them will sit back and make judgments on what he did/did not do. There can be no argument that he loved those bears more dearly than his life. Whether he crossed the invisible boundaries between wildlife and human civilization is something known only to him. Great song to end this documentary. Peace be upon Tim and the wildlife!

  • He looks a bit like Andy Dick!

  • I love this movie the end makes me cry every time

  • T-T Man, Thats sad!

  • The bears who knewed him haved goed to hibernation, then the bears who didn't knew him came from other places, R.I.P. Grizzly man ps: The bears are so cut<333

  • deep respect for the man ....

  • brilliant, brilliant video!!!

  • my deep respect for this men

  • Some Say The Bears Killed Him...

I say the bears saved him. He was a lonely man that couldn't find his place in this world.

Without the bears he would probably started with drugs and alcohol. He might have lived 40 more years,

but he found his place in this world, among bears. I think he would have done it all over again, knowing

how it would end. Rather 13 happy summers, than 40 miserable years.

The story was kinda like Into the wild. Great movies/doc both of em.

    Just my two cents...
