Hey April I smoked for 16 years or 17 yrs. It was hard to stop, but I did it. I stopped at age 29 I did'nt want my son to smoke. Im almost 45 now. I thought about my health and my sons health. april its very hard. u gain weight. My husband stopped a year ago. He is doing great, but gained weight. I gained 50 from 135 to 189, lost it to back down to 140, u can do it girl......u will feel so much better.. good luck Diva...

It's good that you let your girls decide about wearing earrings. I got mine when I was about two yrs. old and I am the same age as you and I remember the trauma of doing that and I really didn't understand why I HAD to get them. I remember my ears being sore (even when I got older) and I would push the earrings into my ears because they felt like they were coming out. I wish my mama would have let me choose when or if i even wanted them.

I really wish you luck with quitting smokiing. I started smoking when I was 14 and smoked for 22 yrs. I quit Jan.16th 2006. I have a tip for you or suggestion rather. I know you like to shop like I do, so why don't you figure out the cost of each cigarette in the pack and everytime you want a cig and do not smoke one put that money in a jar. After 21 days, ( they say that's how long it takes to break a habit.) count the money you saved by not smoking and use that money to reward yourself.

It's good that you let your girls decide about wearing earrings. I got mine when I was about two yrs. old and I am the same age as you and I remember the trauma of doing that and I really didn't understand why I HAD to get them. I remember my ears being sore (even when I got older) and I would push the earrings into my ears because they felt like they were coming out. I wish my mama would have let me choose when or if i even wanted them.

i wish my mama thought like you with the whole ciggie thing..I've seen my mom pay up to $10.70 for a pack..i don't it but she feels she been smoking this long (started as a teen she is now 57) why stop now....more power to ya'll. But at least you want to quit. Thats a good sign.

I really wish you luck with quitting smokiing. I started smoking when I was 14 and smoked for 22 yrs. I quit Jan.16th 2006. I have a tip for you or suggestion rather. I know you like to shop like I do, so why don't you figure out the cost of each cigarette in the pack and everytime you want a cig and do not smoke one put that money in a jar. After 21 days, ( they say that's how long it takes to break a habit.) count the money you saved by not smoking and use that money to reward yourself.

Johnae is my nieces name. age 6. Named after her father John. Very cute!!! I smoked for a couple stressful months. What made me quit.... I hated bommers. Always needing to borrow never payin back. When I ran out (last carton) I quit..... Glad I did :) before I think I really got hooked.

i really wish you luck on quitting. you will feel so much better!! my mom five years ago and she said her breathing is s much better and her sense of smell has heightened. the docs said all the damage to her lungs is gone now. so good luck and i am loving the new video layout :)

I live in FL and my BF smokes Newport and they range from $4.50-$7.00. I agree with you. Let her decide for herself if she wants to get her ears pierced.

I have kelloids, too, on surgery incisions. I notice that you have tattoos. Have you ever had a problem with kelloids from tattoos? I want to get one, but I was always afraid of the possiblity of yet another kelloid.

Wow in Southern Cali I get mine for $4.71 and I am thinkin' I need to quit also because it is really getting ridiculous. I think you should start a support group for your diva's who smoke and want to join you when you decide to quit.

i think thats why our parents had kids back in the day...to go to the corner store to buy them smokes. i used to do the same thing and i was young young...like under 10. the smokes were cheap cheap and no one ever questioned a little kid buying cigarettes....on a side note i had to ban myself from going on etsy.com because i would spend the whole day...literally...looking at things and buying them. theres just too much stuff on the site!

I do not smoke but I remember as a kid going to the store to get a pack of Pall Mall for my Aunt and a pack then was $.35. I am several years older than you. Just imagine what a carton of cigarettes cost. Thanks for sharing I will check out the site maybe I will find something for my granddaughters.

I roll my own......it's sooooo much cheaper....I was the same with my girls, until they were ready and asked ....and I might add 'understand' that it would hurt a bit I never got their ears pierced. OMG! I buy from them in the U.K. all the time...I love their stuff...and my Mum is always on there site too...what a coincidence! :-)

I think it's good the cigs are going up in price. That way alot of people can't afford it and it will cut down on cancers and second hand smoke. I'm all for it. Especially for the black community
