  • Fun if you can get away with it. I'd never try something like that at a major tournament, but I have attempted the flying squirrel at smaller tournaments

  • You'll get slammed on your back if you did that to me lol

  • wholey shit im not sticking up for this kid but just let hime wrestle how he wrestles he's better than the kid?we've all wrestled kids better then us and gotten our asses kicked god its part of the sport your gonna get ur ass kicked by someone superior then you.so what he did something cool to?big whoop its a match

  • Taking down your opponent many times is a tool to break a kid but you don't do it against kids who are way below your skill level. You pin them quickly.

  • That is what I am saying. I don't care if this is attempted against someone at or above his skill level. When you hit flash on a weak opponent to look good you are doing the sport a disservice. You are saying that you are more important than the sport. That's what seperates us from sports like basketball.

  • @petrellaanthony or maybe the point is to draw attention to the sport. think about it, if everyone wrestles slow and lathergic with unnatractive moves who will want to watch its the athleticism and flashiness people want to see, and thats why i did this move, because there were a few people in the stands at our high school daul, this hit youtube, after that we packed the gym at every daul. People want to see this stuff and wrestling deserves fans

  • A lot of people freaking out about this for nothing. This is an unusual move, but by no means showboating. Watch the Russia/US duel, specifically the match between Jordan Burroughs vs. Aniuar Geduev. Geduev hits the exact same thing five seconds in the last round.

  • my coach would beat my ass if he saw me do tht such a showboating move

  • This is terrible. Trying to embarrass a kid. If a kid ever tried to do a move like this to me, I would tech fall him with takedowns. All singles, doubles, high c's, and front headlocks to show him that solid technique wins and embarrassing your opponent by hitting stuff like that is unacceptable

  • @petrellaanthony A takedown is a takedown. As I said above...was it unacceptable for Aniuar Geduev to hit that on Jordan Burroughs last August? Watch the match, it is on YouTube.

If you have a problem with it, get off your high horse and get your kids better at wrestling so this "funk" doesn't work on them.

  • get off my high horse? I have no problem hitting funk and stopping it. The problem isn't as much with the move as the situation. His opponent clearly isn't on the same level as he; why isn't winning enough? Why try to embarrass someone by hitting a "cool" move when a block and spin would have been better. His opponent's head is clearly down, and he is not trying to circle up. Btw, his opponent isn't Jordan Burroughs. Aniuar Geduev was trying to catch Burroughs off guard, not hit a "move".

  • @petrellaanthony So where does your rule against flashiness end? Are takedown wizards who cut their opponents after their 10th takedown in the first period just trying to embarrass his opponent?

And what are you trying to accomplish with it? Are you trying to protect the loser from embarrassment? The best solution is to not let that slop work against him. Are you trying to protect the winner from a big head? Have him wrestle people in his skill level--he'll stop very quickly.

  • seriously what was that kid you "funked" a freshman? come to so cal I'm more than positive one you won't like what happens to you

  • @frankybeez1 he wrestles there at least a couple times a year trust me your not the best comp in the nation

  • Does anybody else realize that the kid he wrestled sucks cock.

  • get owned?

  • how bout this......you wanna see real wrestling try college wrestling, not your stupid states like oklahoma, pensylvania, where ever doesnt matter the best go to college

  • Jv....

  • if you dont beat that other guy its a shame to human kind..

  • @zmatthijs79 or minnesota..

  • @zmatthijs79 if you want real wrestling come to Oklahoma ;)

  • I don't know if it is still true, but Zillah was one of the best teams in WA back when I was wrestling. We actually picked up their coach the year after they scored nearly 300 points in the state tourney! Coach White is literally the best wrestling coach I've ever seen! Too bad he never had the desire to coach at a higher lever as he would have produced some amazing wrestlers.

  • da fuck.... insane

  • lol! one of the most impressive and gutsy moves I've seen.

  • fish.

  • 0:30 its like a human pretzel

  • thats a douchebag move. wrestling akid that youre clearly superior to doesnt mean you show him up.

  • @bjjwannabe152

    yes it does

  • I'm in the PA leagues, and I'm scared of it myself. Cuz it's my freshman year.

  • they're wearing the same shoes...

  • can you say fish

  • WHAT THE FUNK?!

  • Give the kid some credit. Darrion Caldwell turns his back to opponents on the NCAA level and suckers opponents in for a score. Yeah this move isn't going to work every match or every time, but he caught a kid sleeping. Another perfect example is a footsweep. You really should never score with the footsweep but when you catch opponents not paying attention, it's devastating. Any move can work any time on almost any wrestler if it's set up correctly.

  • @ravager135 you should never score with a footsweep? saitiev, arguably the greatest, made a living with that move. 90 percent of throws from the clinch are based off a leg sweep

  • @bjjwannabe152 I think you missed my point entirely. Did you just read one setence of my entire post? You should never score with any move if you don't set it up properly. Saitiev scored with the footsweep not by going out there and chopping at people's legs. He scored off it because he set it up properly. So yeah. If you wrestled me and just thought you were going to footsweep me and put no effort into disguising it or setting it up, you won't accomplish anything.

  • Ok that is me in the video and people should figure one thing out, it is called drawing a crowd to wrestling in a high school that doesnt appreciate it. After i did this we had a bigger crowd and students there figured out how fun wrestling can be. I really do wrestle i dont suck i wrestle in college. look

this move was done by billy murphy in the ncaa finals thats where i got it. but of course wouldnt work on someone good, right?

  • dude...... youre a dick

  • haha im sure ppl have already said this but its the truth...it wud nvr work on anybody good :P i mean the kids obviously a scrub maybe a first or second yr....it was still kinda cool not gunna lie :P haha

  • @rmblacklightning Ya I think he noticed that so he wanted to see if it would work. I guess so.

  • that was a cool move but it would never work on anybody good lol

  • lol that was awesome

  • KEEP IT FUNKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that was sick but the kid was a scrub come on

  • Let the kid have a little glory, nice move.

  • Let the kid have a little glory, it was a nice move.

  • It was a nice move, give it to the kind, he didnt "get owned" this time. Nothing is ever 100 percent guaranteed. Let him have a little glory!

  • do that in nj or pa.see what happens.

  • @zmatthijs79 haha hell yeah that kid wouldve gotten fucked in pa

  • @zmatthijs79 Why are there so many good wrestlers coming out of PA? I wrestled some good wrestlers from NJ but PA just seems like they're stacked with them..

  • @jasonlchester Pa has the best coaches, best wrestling colleges, and the most kids wrestling. we da best

  • @zmatthijs79 OR IN ILLINIOS

  • @zmatthijs79 Or in KY!

  • @direqtr ky is a joke

  • @zmatthijs79 There are puds everywhere ;)

  • @zmatthijs79 got that riite !

  • @zmatthijs79 pretty sure this kid turns out to be a 2x state champ...

  • @zmatthijs79 lol or Long island , New york. i know exactly what you mean.

  • @zmatthijs79 bahahahahahahahaha...New Jersey? Definitely a wrestling power house. Not Iowa or Minnesota or Oklahoma of course.

That said, claiming Washington could compete with the midwestern states makes me lol as well.

  • @bct2702 the state you grow up and go to school in makes you a better wrestler? give me a break, the work your willing to put in to the sport makes you a great wrestler not what state you hail from

  • @bct2702 I hope you are joking because our national team dauls the midwest and whole country every single year and washington always ends up top 10.....check your facts before you post stupidity on here

  • do this on someone remotely not terrible. you will get owned.

  • do this on somebody even remotely not terrible at wrestling you will get owned

  • Wow. Show-off's that can't even complete moves, make me want to quit wrestling :/

  • More like junk instead of funk.

  • What is everyone talking about, that funk was terrible, it was pointless crap and the only reason he turned him so fast was because he was twice his size

  • @Obie013 hes in his weight class dumbass

  • @XWumpaXXFlicKX yeah no shit, but he' still considerably bigger, kid probably cuts a lot of weight, and the other kid he's wrestling looks like a first year who is probably just barely in that weight class.

  • No way! Hahahahaha That was legit!

  • the scrubbiest scrub EVER to do this to lol.

  • i remember the first time i wrestled a middle school kid too.... you suck

  • @frankthetank5094 ya he took 3rd twice in state and won it twice and is now wrestling at SFU, he's horrible... he hit the move because he knew the kid wasnt that good and wanted to have a little fun.

  • @frankthetank5094 well then balls up and meet him at 125 in college

  • The other wrestler was clearly lacking in focus. That was terrible defense.

  • The other wrestler was clearly lacking in focus. That was terrible defense.

  • filthy!!!!!!!! pure filth!

  • haha seriously? someone said that the kid must have sucked, obviously not, you can tell by the lights that he made it to the championship match, but this kid pulling shit like this out of his ass it just a stud! haha nice moves kid!

  • @fire000365 its a dual, the lights are on the mat cuz those are the only schools competing lol, and home is winning 44 to 12 so obviously the opposing team sucks balls, and that last kid sucked big ones right along with his team lol

  • keep the camera on the wrestlers after the match...

  • That was fucking mean dude. Mean as fuck.

  • that was an impressive move at the beginning, an i like how he went from that reverse half nelson thing (or whatever that was) into a saturday night ride or grapevine, depends on where you're from.

  • funk is the way to do it! always does the unexpected

  • i dont know what the hell funk means but that was badass!

  • Haha yeah that kid must have sucks but still, nice move, I like funk wrestling techniques

  • haha

  • thats the most pointless funk ive ever seen! but it damn funny and worked (on a kid thats probobly not the most competitive wrestler) none the less it waz bad ass

  • i think i might try that next time they combine weight classes with me and the one under on the guy i wrestled in my fastest pin video

  • XD i did that once at a high school takedown tournament for jv wen i was a freshman. the guy was standing straight up and i was beating him 9-0 and i shook hands with him but didn't actually shake hands, distracted his attention, and i leap frogged over him and slammed him on his side. XD

  • good job skylor!!! 'i was there when you did that!! MABTON VIKINGS!!!

  • what a joke i wrestled for the same school and never allowed that we were the class that put all those records on the board

    wow

  • What a fish lol how do you let some kid just do that

  • the guy in the red has to be a lighter weight wrestling up. He could never pulled that off on someone at his level.

  • he threw the half in on the way down niccce

  • Wtf....i have never seen that. that other kid must have sucked

  • I don't think that would work on an experienced wrestler. That kid went down too easy, got up to slow, and didn't keep his head up.

  • C'mon man don't even do that... My coach would kill me if I ever did that, he would forfit the match...

  • Comment removed

  • well look at the size of you compared to that littlee boy, he hasnt hhis puberty yet and probably just started wrestling hhaha but nice move

  • Now thats funny...lol

    nice one guy lol

  • What the heck?

One thing I always notice about high school wrestlers is that they think everything that happens has to fall within the moves and style they have been taught. Someone could simply do a "move" like this because his opponent could have never been prepared for something so bold and downright silly.

  • i thought this was going to be another gay video of some now-typical front flip...i was wrong though. nice move kid

  • great pin. I like the double grepevine; fully dominating hold! Who is the winner?

  • Skylor Davis (ZILLAH HIGH SCHOOL)

  • dont forget to subscribe to this video

  • dont forget to subscribe to this video

  • wow..wish he could do that to me..lol and hes HAWWTTT!!:)skylor??hmmm my future babys name..lol -_o and that is a purddy down ass move to make to but im purddy sure that guy he wrestled was a fish..now im not saying that he only did that becasue that guy was a fish.but i think a more experianced wrestler wouldnt have let himself..my perspective..but hes still HAWWTT!! and good wrestler..:)

  • Gutsiest move I've ever seen! ( In a live match)

  • @hipdude73 The only thing that made it gay is that he went to a Saturday Night Ride to pin him
