@thedeadkillerhobo1 The slider at the bottom, it's actually a LEFT/RIGHT fade slider that you match on-screen when the nodes dodge to one channel or the other (you can see it on the screen). No whammy or "effects" bar on the controller from what I found.

DJ Hero rocks. Have been playing at a few times over at a friends house, its a great party game. Am really looking forward to DJ Hero 2, and the fact that they're shipping the game in different packs, such as packs with only one turntable, or 2 turntables with a microphone and such :) Its also great that its really easy to learn, after playing it for a couple of hours i already managed to complete most of the songs just fine on hard :D Really great game :D

Seriously though, on Medium with the harder songs I had wrist pain let alone hard -- I just couldn't scratch fast enough and the turn-table is a decent weight, so scratching it takes more pressure loaded on your hands/wrists.

You looking forward to DJ Hero 2? I was surprised they are doing a #2. Turntable controller looks the same though.

@dmcpro882 I'm not sure if I understand your question -- but yes you don't play the "real" original songs, you play the special club-sounding mixes of them.

No you can't mix to your own songs -- the song has to be designed for the game with a pattern track laid down. So you can only play the songs that are made for the game.

hah, another awesome idea. The real reason I think DJ Hero is flopping in sales is because it's too esoteric -- everyone knows what guitars and drums are, not every knows what a turntable is or how to mix. I think fake instruments only work when it's stylized/popularized items -- like guns, guitars, drums, steering wheels, etc.

I don't know -- I would assume "no" because of the slider/effects and turntable are so specialized on the custom controller -- but it's possible they could map those to the analog sticks so I'm really not sure.

Cam, if you mean avoid mixing audio from multiple songs, no you can't change that -- it's must like Rock Band or Guitar Hero, you are "playing" pre-recorded audio, not actually synthesizing it on the fly. It's a pattern game like the others.

Thanks! We noticed a lot of videos showed the actual screen during gameplay, but not what it looked like when using the controller itself -- which is sort of the whole point of DJ Hero, hopefully this video (even though it's not awesome production value) helps with that.
