i was in 101st airborne during operation enduringfreedom and there is nothin pretty nor desirable about war or inflicting pain on another humanbeing but some times some people dont get the point and want to destroy themselfs and drag innocent people into it and that is the only war worth fighting is to protect those who cannot protect themselfs PERIOD

i dont know if you notice they actually are putting them down in certain lines i dont think its a fitting tribute like were they sing about shooting down someone with a white flag in hand. It is a good song just i dont know if was ever really ment to be a tribute
well my brothers in iraq and it is a good tribute because it tells what war is and how things happen...even it u don't want to believe it...that's what war is...brutal and discusting...u just have to believe that what ur fighting for is worth it....
@madsnowflake this song isnt war, it targets only the worst possible outcomes of a situation. and this song was written about modern war, which in that case the little girl carrying a flag may have also had 10 pounds of improvised explosives strapped to her. think about that for a while...
@roomooroomoo have you experienced war or known someone who has because if u havenot then you cant understand no offense but i grew up as a military brat knowing only military and ive known everyone whose gone to war and thats wat happens they make warsound great whne in reality its terrifing and hectic and to have to do a job like that changes you and makes you become someone your not makes you become the worst possible version of yourself ....think about that
