  • Great to see some PLJ that I've never seen before. Thanks for posting. Scandalous that 'In A Broken Dream' has been taken off YouTube as it is perhaps one of the greatest tracks in the history of the universe, ever ! :-)

  • Thanks for the kind comment

    mick....

  • Hi Mick. Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry that I missed your reply from 2 months ago. I love 'In A Broken Dream', the whole story of it, how I came to find it, and of course the song and the playing on it. I can remember the first time I heard your guitar rip it's way out of my record-player speakers, and how I eventually found it on a CD and played it over and over again in the car, so loud that my ears nearly bled ! Great to hear from you :-) Brian.

  • Hey Brian...much appreciation for your kind comment.

    thnx.. mick

  • Remember Rhubarbs and Union Jacks, Suzi Wongs and Beatle Village. I think he proxided his hair.He used to pull a crowd on saturday nights.Used to go threr with all the north shore girls,so much fun!

  • thanks.... they were good times alright!

  • great band, great music

  • he looks like josh harnett... btw.. i'm searching for his vinyls... hard time to find them...

  • wow what about that bob dylan concert at the stadium. he sat on that stool, with his really skinny legs, just dangling. there is some forgotten memory about his just sitting after a break, and being booed, does anyone remember his concert that night? or am i still in a blue haze, what do they say, if you remember the 60's , you weren't there. lol

  • I heard a tape of the stadium concert the other week and it sounded completely different to my memory of it.Not much booing, lots of cheering and complete silence during the accoustic part. Then again Python Lee Jackson sound completely different than I remember too !!

  • I never saw this at the time but it is certainly evocative of my late teens.

Thanks for this everybody involved including guitarboogieboogie. I have enjoyed it.

  • Wow learn something new everyday and maybe find something you have been missing.....Thanks for sharing.

  • good stuff

  • memories of beatle village in oxford street sydney, valli kemp was his girlfriend, she was 14 he was about 17, that is in another lifetime, this brings back so many memories, thanks

  • ah, Beatle village, rhubarbs, the domain and art gallery on Sunday arvo then back to the village, Bob Dylan at Sydney stadium the 'doors of perception' and dollybirds . Life didn't get any better than that. I always wonder what happened to Valli Kemp.

  • i knw valli kemp was in a james bond movie, a bit part, and that she moved to london, i was just wondering if she went over with mal, and i know she married a titled guy, then the trail goes cold.she drew cute pictures of characters without mouths, she had amazing black hair, and was so beautiful, all us girls were so envious of her lol the criterion was known as the bunch of c's. it was an amazing place, i went there a bit early one friday, and it was full of business types for lunchi nearly died

  • goddamit66668, the bunch o' c---ts was also the name of a wino's bar near the Royal George (sussex and King)---the dancer at the beginning was Cathy Lofts (see youtube of her dancing now she has one leg)....The Criterion was a journo's pub but many Old Push drank there at times.

  • thanks cass for the info, sorry im a bit late in answering you, only get to use comp on w/ends at the moment.

  • Valli runs an art school or shop or something in Nelson Bay
