Excellent, Rachel! What a huge sound and depth of passion you have for this music. I know you are focused on more eclectic contemporary music, but how I would love to hear you play the Prokofiev 2!
Hello Rachel Field! Thank you for playing this great Stravinsky concerto! What wonderful music! I am the granddaughter of Richard Rodgers, and I know my whole family will love this terrific performance. So great that you are playing Wuorinen and Karchin, too. I will tell my brother, Adam Guettel ("Piazza"), to listen in...He's been influenced by many composers over the years and without YouTube it would be hard for many people to hear some of these great artist's work. Thanks again!
This is one of my absolute favorite pieces of music EVER!!! So exciting, envigorating. Rachel Field is an awe-inspiring young artist. Not only has she great virtuosity at her command, along with the obvious deep connection she has with Stravinsky, but she can actually communicate her love of the music. I can't WAIT to be able to see her in person. I have played this video about sixty times, and just HAD to write in....
Extremely musical for one so young. A technically proficient, musically expressive performance of this beautiful and difficult concerto. An exciting listening experience
Wow Rachel, look at you !!! I had no idea you were such a master... you look so professional and seasoned. I am amazed. You WILL have to play for us "live" one of these days... this video does you no justice :-)
wow amazing...
