@Er1kson1 do you have these add-ons? They're the one of the best add-ons of the world!! UTX is very good! Updates the rivers roads and the landclass. And the GEX updates the Autogen textures. Together they're so realistical!

In fact UTX + GEX is making the game look much better but they are showing the wrong material. Compare for example Redlands, CA in real FSX vs. UTX+GEX. The latter looks much better. Or compare Germany where in the real FSX you often have boring repetitive tiles. In GEX+UTX it looks pretty awesome. Or Norway...I don't understand why they are not showing off the right stuff.

GEX doesn't affect your FPS notably. UTX does but you can disable the FPS hungry features like cars driving on roads, 3D bridges and the light affects at night. The cities are still going to look a lot more real and less random than the actual FSX.

This is a great comparison video. I only wish each scene lasted a little longer (scene changes were slower). I must have paused this 50 times. By the time I read the titles/captions to see what city and scene I'm looking at, it's already changed (read or look at pictures.. not time to do both)

@leefuji MS is done with the FS series for now. Check out Aerosoft's upcoming Simulator! It will be the best simulator to date. Not much info has been released but with the money that they have and with their experience, it will no doubt be very successful.
