I love how Vincent (Travolta) pulls out his gun as Jules (Jackson) starts reciting that verse. He knows that's the queue for "This shit's 'bout to go down".
Man Tarantino should make a movie about Jules and his adventures around the world. I would like to see Samuel Jackson reprise his role as Jules again.
great scene!!! note that sam' empty's his gun into the guy..........however, in the same scene later sam' still has enough bullets to shoot the guy with the "hand cannon" also, before the guy rush's into the room - the bullet holes are already in the wall.........also when sam' repeats "eziekil 25/17 later on it's slightly different to the first time. that being said, it was still a great fucking movie!
LOL, they didn't have to shoot that man like that. Hahaha!! I love this scene. One of my favorites from any movie. Sam Jackson is the man, hands down.
If you look up the cited passage in Ezekial, it's nothing like what this guy spews in this clip. It might have a few similar phrases, but it's basically modified beyond recognition. But if you're the one with the fully loaded weapon, i guess that's your prerogative.
Actually the quote was taken from an old Karate show where the main hero guy would give a talk about righteousness and the tyranny of evil men before killing the bad guy. Tarantino is a big fan of old karate movies and stuff and if you know anything about Pulp Fiction or its creator, you'll know that the whole thing is chock full of little hidden bits like this. All the way down to the magazine Vincent reads in the toilet.
The best quote, by the best actor, in the best movie... Period. Inaccuracy compared to the Bible? Respect to all Christians, but so what? Gets the message across, and unless you research it on Wikipedia, you'll never know it's wrong!
And you will KNOW my name is the Lord... as I thrust ma vengance upon thee...
Furthermore if you read back in Chapter 18 around the 21st verse and through the rest of the chapter you will see where the other references were taken for this scene.
To all of you that continue to quote the bible or say this is not in there. It depends on the verison you read. Ok, well this is the King James verison: And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. Ezekiel 25:17
Let me type word for word that I have in my bible: Ezekiel 25:17: I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know I am the Lord, when I take vengeance on them.
That is word for word in my bible. I am not laying, that would be a sinful thing to say. Read it yourself.
I would love to see this same scene if they changed it to Samuel L Jackass quoting scripture from the Quaran. Actually, I wouldn't love it but it'll never happen in your life. Christians and Jews are the only ones that can be assualted in Hollyweird. I am offended by this movie because it portrays the scripture as valuble to a murderer. Its just not right. What were they thinking. Obviously, not about offending christians
In 1944, a man who used to hit people in the face with socks full of pennies mysteriously died after he hit a guy in the face with a sock full of pennies on an airplane. If you don't post this on 3 different videos he will come to your house in hit you in the face with a sock full of pennies.
I wish they started it earlier cuz I love the part "..They speak English in What? English motherfucker!..Say "What" again. I dare you! I double dare you! Classic.

Not quite. Ezekiel 25:17 (KJV):
17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
The first half of the quote is part paraphrase of Psalm 23 and part made up, as far as I can tell.

Infact I just read it now. It says nothing about the valley of darkness, or the finder of lost children.
It speaks of a city with nought but sinful nature, that must repent or be destroyed.
