  • Awesome!!

  • Teach me how make bones or kill you :D

  • Viewport bug XD

  • I saw that and literally lol'd :P

I mean I knew Hobbes had a stretched imagination but I never thought it'd take him over XD

  • The end render looks too real to me! and u listen to tool, how awesome!

  • cool, but slow down a bit

  • That was so cool! You should make an animated short of Calvin and Hobbes with that!

  • 00:37

How do you get there? I can UV map in Wings3D, get the map in Photoshop, edit, and put it back in Wings3D, but how do you do it in 3DS Max? Also, awesome model, especially the rendering.

  • To be honest, I forget how I got that initial color on there. I really don't UV much. It shouldn't be too different in Max than it is in Wings. Just check the help files, that pretty much all I do.

  • Thanks then. I'll go dig through some help sections/tutorials.

  • what's the name of the song

  • That was a pretty cool video. Was that a rig you used to make the teddy bear's body slump over? And that does kind of suck when you like 3/4 done with a model and it crashes and you're so into it you forget to save. DANGIT I HATE THAT lol it happens to me a lot too.

  • Thanks. I'm not sure if you could call it a rig, depends on your definition. I didn't really do anything beyond making the skeleton to bind hobbes to- no IK, nothing I would animate with.

  • That rocked!!

  • when it screwed up it looks like fire wood

  • nice

  • where can we download Vray 4m? Can't seem to get the rite link...it suckz!!

  • can you do calvin?

  • hah, good question. His hair would take special consideration. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it, but I haven't had that driving force yet. Hobbes as a stuffed tiger, on the other hand, was something I'd wanted to see or create since I was a kid. Maybe in the future...

  • That's awesome!

  • cant you just tell step by step :s..

i have been throughh bot lynda tuts and read some e-book.. but none of em told me about texture map

  • Tell me, how do you make a texture map :)? i really need to know

  • I could tell you step by step but the key to getting good at this stuff is being resourceful. Use the Help files every chance you get, research it further through books and online tutorials. Check out UV mapping or unwrapping. That applies to pretty much all major 3d programs.

  • That is excellent.

  • wow! awesome!

  • Can I have the blueprint of Calvin and Hobbes if you have it with you?

  • the only reference image I used was the one found in the beginning of the video. sorry, it's tough to come by schematic views of hobbes in his stuffed form.

  • silly animator hobbes isnt a stufft animal hes a real tiger but eather wat it was cute

  • hobbes is a stuffed animal. Calvin just brings it to life with his imagination.

  • Way to not read humor.

  • Wow. That Was amazing! Does anyone else ever get really freaked out when it glitches like that? No? Just me then....

  • The ending picture was great

  • Thats cool. Did you make it all by yourself?

  • Thanks. yeah, I did everything right down to the rendering and shader settings.

  • thats very very cool. if i did that and showed my computer teacher, she would give me a freaking A++++++++++++++++

but the bad part is she would make me make stuff for her all day, so i'm not going to do it (as if i could)

  • Awesome picture!

  • Viewport Bug!LOL i love it when 3d goes bad

  • The glitch part was funny though

  • Wow that was good...

  • This is awesome... you should do some of the comic strips!!!

  • awesome

  • Very cool!
