Forget research, try driving them. Ive driven CJs TJs and JKs. JKs are much less powerful. CJ 4.2L are incredible. 4.0L are pretty good motors. and their powerband is a blast. I put my foot down on a JK and nothing happened. Besides that. I barrowed it from a 17 year old girl. That engine is weak. But i rubicon could make it worth it as long as it puts a little power into those 44s and lockers. instead of being good at reading try to be good at driving. And then maybe you will learn something.
I get my new wrangler unlimited in a year! I cant wait. those lockers do wonders too dont they. My buddy has one up here and we blow over these bigass ice hills on the lake in the winter lol
I currently own both a 4.0l XJ and a 3.8l JK Unlmtd. I was skeptical when I bough the JK and was disappointed for a few days but when I actually learned how to drive the 3.8, it made me want to trade in the XJ! (and I love my XJ). My XJ can't keep up with the JK to save it's life (and it's only on 31s + my JK has 3.21 gears)
With no videos uploaded, you are a troll peice of shit. You bought a fucking stock TJ. Your style of wheeling is obviously different, go and shine your chrome exhaust tips, and climb a curb at the mall. Fuckface.
Hey bitch shut up and go race your jeep downtown. You keep saying you could do that. Why are all your pictures of your jeep on the street. You've never been offroad.
you're right, because a 4.0 has everything to do with gearing. that 3.8 didn't have any problem making power and spinning the tires. As a matter of fact, motor was not even a factor there. maybe if teh TJ had gay tube bumpers like you he might have made it.
Intersting. I can't imagine the soccer practice 3.8L could do something like that. Also your climbing at a angle the TJ wasn't. I could do that on foot dummy.
that TJ was also going up a snowy/muddy STEEPER grade. Dont get me wrong the JK's are excellent jeeps, but the TJ's are for sure more trail worthy machines.
and then boom electrical probs.

Land rover would do that in reverse. Big wow. They are the best 4x4xFAR.

@Landybandy1 heh! i've owned both! not only is the jeep better offroad, it is far more reliable!

The TJ had some snow to deal with too, but either way nice job.

whats all this minivan motor crap the 4.0 was in many a soccermom SUV's.
The 3.8 makes better HP and TQ than the 4.0 and at only 600 rpm's more.

Hmm, that looks like a pretty awesome hill climb. I'll put *MY* TJ up against good old 98Sahara and then we can compare apples to oranges!!
Alley26 5 years ago
its on, i'll put "my" 94 Sahara against you haha
Drewski331994 3 years ago
Yeah A 4.0L would walk it out on a 3.8L make her cry for her minivan she belongs in.

nope, your gay 31" tires with no lockers or traction device of any type would not have made that. You sir are a web wheeling slut.
2k2wranglerx 5 years ago
Awesome! The best part of this video is that the JK goes up the hill with ease while the TJ sounds like it is going to blow up!
bcsgrad 5 years ago
To be fair, it was a lot steeper where the TJ tried and it was a 4cyl to me they all sound like they are going to blow up.
dougr5150 5 years ago 4
@dougr5150 also there was snow where the TJ was climbing which means the ground underneath is a lot more frozen
