  • Get it Chita. Love her :))

  • Wanna bet when Chita is 90 she still will dance like that!

  • I thought that it was incredible for Madonna to dance like that at 50, until I saw Chita Rivera.

  • Fucking Brent Carver, talented bastard.

  • She's hot for an old lady!

  • Chita Rivera is incredible... simple as that!

  • AMAZING!

  • Rob Marshall should've directed this instead of NINE. This would've translated extremely well to film.

  • @Gikl27 I know you made the post a few months ago, but I couldn't help replying to it. Kiss of the Spider Woman WAS made into a film in 1985. Starred William Hurt (won an Oscar for the role) and Raul Julia. It's here on YT ;P

  • @seychelle1 i have it on dvd, and what a great film it is!

  • Best Tony broadcast ever!!!!!!!!! so many great ones!

  • One of the Best. Musicals. Ever.

  • You've pitched " one" too low:)

  • Love, love, love Brent Carver. He was perfection in this role.

  • Ahh. I remember taping this off television waaaay back and being so excited to watch this performance. I knew and liked nearly every musical nominated that year. Definitely my fondest Tony Awards broadcast.

  • Loved this show.

  • Kick your face Chita! 3:05

  • Ha look at Crivello At 1:49 ahhhh im tryin to sleeep!

  • was 17 when i first saw this show..Now im 32 and working on WAITING FOR GODOT with Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart... Kiss of the spider woman got in to theatre.... Great Great show..

  • Brent Carver has such an odd delivery and it makes so much sense all at the same time...

    Thanks for posting!

  • Chita is totally MESMERIZING in this number. I'm always amazed when I watch this vid. She makes it look effortless, which some people half her age can't do!

  • Is it possible to get three more talented people to lead your cast? This bunch is amazing. No wonder they all won Tony awards. I'm surprised nobody is raving over Brent on here, so I will. He's AMAZING! This is one actor who can completely become a character, mind, body, and soul. Why the deuce is he not more acknowleged for it? I love him. And I want to be Chita when I get older. Who else can dance that spectacularly, especially when they're aging?

  • Chita RIvera was amazing as the Spider Woman--great dancer and singer in her 60's at the time. I was lucky enough to see the Broadway show, with its amazing spiderweb" scenery, plus full production numbers, Chita's show, by Jerry Herman (Hello Dolly, Mack & Mabel) no less.

  • I love Anthony! He's my favorite actor! I had the gift of seeing him in Las Vegas as the Phantom, he's amazing!

  • I saw Chita 's production is London, it was a thrilling!

  • Chita is so on-point I love herrrrrr <3

  • What's this musical even about?

  • check wikipedia. Basically a political prisoner is forced to share a jail cell with the a gay guy: the one with the scarf-Molina. And Valentin-the prisoner- is very taken back by his Molina's homosexuality. The spider-woman is Aurora, and she is Molina's escape. I haven't even finished listening to the soundtrack-but I just know it's good.

  • This musical sucks! I sat through the entire thing and I didn't see the Green Goblin or Doctor Octopus once!

  • Huh? It's Spider-Woman,not Spider-Man.

Shouldn't you have said "I sat through the entire thing and I didn't see Morgan Le Fay or Nekra once! "???

  • lol This was a joke comment, right? I laughed.

  • Anthony Crivello is my favorite actor.... of all time forever and ever.

  • Love it!!

  • Just because she can doesn't necessarily mean she SHOULD lol... And, although the original cast was, no doubt, amazing in their own right, Howard McGillin simply blows them all away

  • Haha! Anthony Crivello's a revolutionary in this also!

(He was the inebriated revolutionary in Les Miserables)

  • Brent Carver is AMAZING!!!

    As is Chita Rivera!

  • I am obsessed with this performance. Thank you for posting.

  • Recall that she's 60 in this video.

    Sixty.

  • Or, as Forbidden Broadway claims, 66. :) Actually, I'm with you. That's a remarkable performance at any age. And when I saw her in January of 2006, she could still kick as high as anyone else on the stage.

  • so thank you!!:)
