However, when I look again and see how young you are, you are very good, as I was saying technically....the emotion and the interpertation becomes the focus. Don't stop it will bring you so much joy and to others. All the best.
as musicians most of the training we recieve reduces us to merely technicians....where is the art.
This sound like everyone else at your level...it does not tell any sort of tale, or much about you. The purpose of art is to communicate something about yourself and Mozart.
There's no doubt of your technique and ability! For the most part you play it well. The main issues for me are timing and dynamincs; you sometimes give an extra quaver rest or so and it spoils the continuity, also, the odd unnecessary ritardando - a bit 'romantic'! In addition, some forte passages are a bit too strong as well. Just needs a bit of TLC..
There are a few, but they are not played the same. It's getting closers to Beethoven's middle period when he started to become more and more of a Romantic.
I'm learning this piece for grade 8 and you absolutely must pay attention to every bit of detail on the score otherwise you drop marks, its a cruel exam
I never did stuff like that. I couldn't stand that culture of playing pieces for exams. It's very off-putting and threatens any attempt at individuality in playing. We're better off without it.
When applying to musical institutions, what "Grade Level" you are won't matter. The only thing that will matter will be how well you perform at your audition. You're wasting your time with these examinations. They're nothing but a feeble attempt to quantify musical ability.
Yeah I agree with you there, the only thing the musical institutions will be looking for is ability and flair. I wouldn't say that Grades are a waste of time though, learning the various scales is great for technique and if it wasn't for the examinations I don't think I would put that much effort into learning them, I also think that the examination is comparable to performing live as you are expected to make no mistakes. I agree though that they aren't the be-all and end-all.
It's allegro, good sir! But, really, good performance.

Great playing though and brilliant finger work!

very nice. I suggest you play the left hand notes at 0:23 with fingers 5-1-2-1, rather than 5-1-1-1. Brendel and many pianists use that.

but most do it not.

I love your Piano playing, Benjamin!
This piece is amazing.
Not sure if you remember me, but I've been a fan of your piano-playing since you were nine :)

Benjamin do Amadeus justice. Nice per-

the great work kid.

A good attempt. You obviously known the piece well, and are definitely technically capable of performing it.
A few suggestions:
-Watch your use of pedal. Only when necessary.
-Pay attention to the score. There are articulation inaccuracies, and you're not paying attention to a lot of the rests and note values.
-Clean up your trills
This is classical music. There's so much subtlety that paying attention to a good score is imperative to the piece. Best of luck!

I'm only doing it because I want to get into the royal northern college of music, and it helps if I'm grade 8 lol
