  • It doesent work during the winter??

  • I have a 2002 with cool air intake and shes right sickkkkk!!!! fucking loves it more than anything and nice shifting son ur beast, cant wait to get mine out of storage hates winter!

  • i saw that slow shift into 2nd to prevent grinding haha

  • Nice shifting

  • lol good thing i read your description i thought it was a turbo kit i was thinking i never herd turbo like that before lol

  • hammered 2nd to 3rd awesome =)

  • I'm thinking about getting a 2002 rsx but I'm hesitant because of the transmission, the 2nd gear grinding and the 3rd gear pop out if you guys could give me some more information to help me come to a conclusion on whether or not to buy it I would greatly appreciate it thanks

  • @kloste1 i have a 2006 type s and 3rd does pop out sometimes but its a small concern when you have a beast car. like in every aspect the car is awesome: fuel consumption, looks, weight, interiour design, options, speed, reliability, all of that. ur not gonna pass on all of these just because sometimes it pops out of 3rd

  • @TheFavorites315 Waht about the usa version of the trans which is a defect ?

  • damn dude, you fucking nailed 3rd! sounds great

  • @5spd5thgen yeah that was a fast fucking shift

  • My 05 does that too! I hate it haha getting medal pedals though it better stop the squeak haha when it rains I wanna punch babies it's so annoying haha

  • @jandrews715 Ahahahahahaha, I hope that goes good for you. I feel you on that one bro.

  • put wd40 on that clutch pedal it will make sound go away

  • lol your shoe made it seem like you had a bov for a sec. this thing sounds nice though!

  • *squiggle squeek*

  • do u live in boise i think i know this type s

  • @plefrancois

yo braa i just wanted your opinion on something im having a lot of trouble deciding. i dont know whether to go with this injen cai or the aem v2??? ive heard the aem gets you close to +18hp but its not a true cai bc it doesnt go to the bumper on a rsx. its more of a short ram, and i heard that opens up for heat soak and loss of power. what you think?

  • @suckuhhballbag420 haha no way in hell dude that aem intake will let u gain 18hp.. no in way hell lol.. you willl be better off with the injen cold air intake.. there will be better gains.. check it out on clubrsx.com.. youll learn a lot

  • @robbie1212

haha yeaa i know man... that was what the guy from aem said on the v2 video when they first came out. i did get the injen cai and im going 9psi on a comptech supercharger kit now!!! starting my build in a few more weeks when the weather gets better in the east coast. and yeaa man crsx ftmfw too. lol.

  • @suckuhhballbag420 How much is the supercharging kit/build gonna cost you... like everything...i was thinking about doing the same thing when i get my Type-S.. i was supposed to get one this spring and when i found out how much insurance is, 643/mo im like FUCK THAT SHIT lol...the insurance girl who we associate with said next year when im 21 it'll drop down to 347/mo. So i just gotta be a man and wait a year :( *sigh*

  • @robbie1212

damn bro! thats harsh, even 347/mo is harsh. i was paying around 225/mo when i was 19.. im 20 now and i got a dui on my record and still got quoted about 280-300/month lol. anyway its cool, every place is different so id shop around. as far as the kit goes i bought some of my parts used from the clubrsx.com market place. my supercharger was used and i payed 2grand for it. you can probly find one cheaper than that. but for i/h/e and kpro add on about another 1,600. good luck tho.

  • gotta love a DC5...nice shifts too

  • Kinda sounds like you got it boosted lol

  • Nice shifting and...sexy sounding rsx you got there ! Im jealous ! 5 *

  • Thanks man !

  • If you watch closely you''ll see that there is a car ahead in front of me so I had to stop accelerating...noob.

  • @plefrancois haha 12Oc7ocl should feel really retarded lol. owned!!

  • @12Oc7ock 5 is after 4

  • First shift I was like wtf kind of turbo is that? haha

  • haha my shoes does the squeaky sound too when there wet i hate it too

  • is your car all stock with exception of yer intake? er do you got an exhaust on it too?

  • No aftermarket exhaust, the cold air intake is the only modification.

  • nice shifting, chicks love it

  • have you smoked any cars in this?

  • Well I don't really street race, but at the track my best run to date was a 14.74 with the intake. I've beaten a turbo civic, many other RSX Type S, as well as other cars not really worth mentionning (cobalt lt, mazda protégé). But cars like S2k's, WRX's, mustangs or highly modded cars often beat me, since they normally run low 14's, 13's or less.

  • god damn that intake sounds siiick i have a k&n intake but its not a cold air how much horses does cai add

  • About 2-3 hp maybe ? A CAI alone doesn't make any noticeable difference on the performance of the car... Just makes a great engine sound ;)

  • soo this is stock but it has a cold air intake cause it sounds pretty loud for juss one mod?

  • VTEC and iVTEC engines sound pretty loud with just an intake ;)

  • yaa thats what i was thinkin :) im gettin the rsx next month next wait its my first car

  • does putting a cold air intake in your car make it sound louder? i have an 05 mazda 3 2.3 and i want it to sound better but i dont want to buy a CAI and exhaust. reply please.

  • Well if you want your car to sound louder or better, you must modify something in your engine. Yes, adding a cold air intake on any car will increase the sound of the engine, especially at wide open throttle, but it will be much more noticeable on a RSX Type S than on a mazda 3, since the RSX has i-VTEC (loud). If you really don't want to spend alot of money, I suggest taking off the stock intake box and simply replace it with a cone filter... It'l be almost like if u added a short ram intake

  • will that give the HP boost that the cold air intake does though

  • Probably not... But if you don't plan on modding the car very much, there isn't going to be alot of difference.

  • ya i want to mod it but im 17 and its my first car so my parents bought me an auto so i cant do much with that

  • great driver beautiful car 5*

  • 0:06 BOV :D Just kidding

    Nice shifting at 0:09

    Nice sounding intake 5/5*

  • how did u crack off redlined shifts without grinding? do u have MM or ED?

  • I'm not sure to fully understand that... Redline begins at 7900 rpms but the rev limiter is at 8200 rpm... so there's no problem in going into the redline in a Type S. What is MM or ED ?

  • I just bought an 02 RSX base, i love RSX's and its what i could afford. What gains did u get from the c.a.i?

  • Well, it's hard to tell... The gains are not that much noticeable, but you get a very sweet i-VTEC sound !

  • yea I absolutely love the sound of your engine

how much did it cost u to install or did you do it yourself?

  • I installed it myself along with 2 of my buddies.

  • How long did it take you? did you need to buy any other things to make it fit or did it just bolt on neatly?

  • usually 5 h.p and under. Bigger applications will see bigger gains. Not much on a 2.0L motor. I'm getting my rsx tomorrow WOOOOO WOOOOO

  • buying an 02 rsx type s tomorrow...so excited

  • Congrats on the purchase !

  • Bon video mon Phil!

    Merci... 5 étoiles :)

  • Thx buddy :)
