  • <3 The music is gorgoues, i have Irish, and Scottish in me and i've always been attracted to the music <3.

  • I absolutely adore this song... it brings tears to my eyes every time... and carries my heart with it across the sea from Canada to Scotland, where I truly belong!

  • @animal25lover i agree... I'm scottish and i live in singapore. All i want is to go home! By the way, Nova scotia was a scottish province. It's name means 'new scotland'

  • This is an amazing song! It makes me proud to be Scottish! It stirs up a lot of emotions from me and it's a great song to remember what all those brave men had done to save our country. I'm not bitter about what the English had done because I have family and friends from England but this song reinstates my love for my home country... SCOTTISH AND VERY PROUD!!!

  • u guys do realise, it's a beautifull song?? all this talk about country ??

  • I am Canadian, and so am inclined to side with Britain. FUCK THAT SHIT

  • Fuck the union!

  • English are arrogant upper class bastards

  • @Brandonflowersreally Not all of us

  • @Brandonflowersreally m4attylittle is right, yeah some are cunts who cant let go of the past but soem are pretty nice people, some would even say that what they did to us was wrong(not all but few)

  • @Brandonflowersreally

Scots are ugly, false-toothed, drunken, paranoid morons.

  • this makes you cry.....beautiful

  • nice uilleann pipes...

  • fuck the english i hate them so much

  • we all live on one island, the english, scottish and welsh, we are all british. The irish too are our brothers, although some of them don't recognise or appreciate that. without sounding cringe, only if we let the past go can we work on making britain great again.

  • A powerful piece, especially when you remember the scene that goes with.

  • James Cameron was so impressed by the music from "Braveheart" that it inspired him to hire James Horner to score "Titanic" even though the two of them had a previous bad working relationship with "Aliens."

  • the scottish are born fighters all our fking history is war and invasion's to fking bad noone could ever really win

  • 0:40 TO 1:33

    IT MAKES ME CRY

    congratulations.

  • I live in Wales. Both my Grandmothers are Welsh. Both my Grandfathers are Scottish, and their's Irish. I, however, do not have anything against the English. We are what we are. The past is behind us. We can only make Great Britan what it can be TOGETHER. X.

  • @JayTheBoat YOU BRITISH SCUM!!! haha

  • what the english did to the scots will NEVER be forgotten, the scots will always know about the past. and about great britian.... its time for scotland to leave britian and be a nation. the days of being told wat to do by westminster are over. its time to be a nation.. a better nation & remove the union flag from every castle in scotland. alot of people (unionists) dont like that idea, but tough. things happen in the future get over it. independence for scotland!

    p.s great soundtrack :)

  • @JayTheBoat Just like another historic base movie. It was for us to remind of whatever that happen as well. But yes we all can live TOGETHER.

  • this music always brings me to tears!

  • @jehzar7- your a man with feelings last I checked that a GOOD THING. Dump her because is obvious she doesn't care for yours and that she has none. This is a GORGEOUS song and it gets deep in the soul and emotions. Cry On!

  • I'm Irish, Scottish and Welsh too :D

    I LOVE my "countries" <3 <3 <3

And I'm extremely proud of my ancestors.

  • @megncomedy im scottish & irish :) would be nice be abit welsh too though :D

  • @beverage2008 Hey, by the grace of God we're Scottish and Irish...so thank heaven's for that! xD haha

  • Both of my children were born during this piece - 3.5 years apart. They are both prickly, but the love I have for them is worth every bit of pain.

  • @Jezhr7 - Man, you should dump her, if she meant to say that. I wouldn't stand it if I were in your place (unless it was pretty obvious she was teasing me). What's wrong with a guy crying in some intense moments of a movie. This scene is touching (the music helps set the mood a lot too), and I get misty too.

  • Mel Gibson has tried to tell us in so many movies to covet our freedoms and to not let the tyrannical powers defeat us.....we must fight for freedom.....it is everything.......

  • sowas nenne ich liebe in diesen film

  • lol at some of the comments. its absolutely pointless looking at history and judging people today because of it. Go back some more and the scots would prob be vikings travelling around raping an pillaging then go back some more and we were canibal monkeys. Its almost as bad as the muslims ranting on about the crusades.

  • England.. Scotland, Ireland, Wales. These are just fucking names, each culture connects with the other in some way. The isles are hallowed with blood of thousands of battles that each of these nations endured at one point or another. Honor each nation for what it has done.

  • @bilen7 Amen brother. Preach on. You are right. Honor each nation and honor each man and woman.

  • awesome.....

  • this is an unbeliveable song.it´s fantastic.i love this movie.^^

    Thumbs up

  • When i hear this.. it says Welcome Home.. :'( that gets me every time

  • 0:38

  • With this song can you fly, even can you have wings

  • ALBA GU BRATHHHHH

  • why does the music, the movie and the gift of life, HAVE TO BE SO FUCKING GREAT.

  • Ho my God, i love this song,i like this movie, i like this dvd.

  • @RichardElden i don't think he is dude. you must be english. im not getting on any side here im not scotish nor english im an american even a lot of people hates mel no one can deny the facts that e's a great director

  • @RichardElden why do you hate mel gibson? just asking

  • Isabella is on the cover for the soundtrack? Come on, she was the only weak point in the story structure. (Discounting historical accuracy, of course.)

  • just finished watching this. havent seen it in a couple years. One of my all time fav's thanks for sharing! :)

  • who made this music?

  • @TheLapapita

    Look closely.

It sais "MUSIC COMPOSED BY JAMES HORNER

    LONDON SYNPHONY ORCHESTRA"

    Any info not included?

  • Richard...I think you listen to some even more relaxing music. You have issues...

  • brings a tear to my eye everytime

  • I could only hope that the people I love look up to me like William Wallace, so i can be a hero to them and defend our freedom.

  • jak zaczynają grać dudy to aż ciarki przechodzą :D

  • @Sword2510 huh..

  • English don't like this movie but the scoths value this film like it was a treasure :D

  • @RichardElden many that live deserve to die, many that die deserve to live. Can you give it to them? Do not be eager to deal on death or judgement

  • @Koeliebalie lord of the rings,gandalf????

  • @katsasgl2 JRR Tolkien my friend, the wisest of men that ever existed

  • If you one day dying in your bed is you desire then not even just one time only to stand again are here to recall to our enemies so they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom

  • when i thinking in my mind about Bravheart iam crying..when i hear this the best OST iam without words.....

  • the sountract more beauty of the world:

  • Superb soundtrack. This particular piece really inspires me to just create and write music! Outstanding beauty.

  • most beautiful peace of music i have ever listened to

  • hrm. London Symphony Orchestra. The English helped Mel Gibson bash the english.

  • God Bless Mel Gibson!!!

  • @sford605 No, no worries, friend. I figured it out after we spoke last!

  • @sford605 What happened with Mel recently? I haven't heard much lately. I wonder if it has something to do with his alcoholism or the like. I know he was on the wagon for a bit, must have fallen off poor guy.

  • @VinterNatt1785

Well, the incident wasn't terribly recently. I was referring primarily to his rants at Oksana. Forgive me for not stating it more clearly. I was being rushed, so it didn't come out as clearly as it should have.

  • @rosiexcorpion1971 I'm glad someone else feels about Braveheart the way I do. Mel Gibson is THE most underrated actor/director and now Hollywood wants him to retire...pushing him out per say from what I've heard. I'm not religious in any way or shape, but I admire Gibson's views amongst the Hollywood elite.

  • Mel Gibson fan for LIFE!! God Bless..

  • This film contains IMHO, the BEST score ever for an epic film. The emotion bleeding from each scene from the orchestral score gives me goose bumps. No other film has yet to make me feel the way Braveheart has.

  • @VinterNatt1785 yes I agree with you!!

  • Even if this movie was awful...i would watch it for the powerful music. The fact that it's also bad ass makes it a classic.

  • @theswaggerist i dont care about how good the movie is "maked" it make me think. the movie is not created good in pictures... but in the words... (if you can say that) ^^ think about the movie...

  • Jim Horner, the man behind this brilliance.

  • my favourite film ever .........and with music like this u can see why .........

  • Best part in an amazing soundtrack.

  • Mel Gibson rules

  • amazing

  • very moving song, and moving scene....so cute!

  • James Horner really hit it out of the park with this score.

  • lovely, really beautiful. it means somethin to me

  • This song always makes me cry

  • FUCK ENGLAND,

    From Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Fuck your Union Jack, we want our Country back!

  • @jshaw320 dude calm down.

  • @jshaw320 yeah mate, calm the fuck down

  • @jshaw320 I'm english and I am neither ashamed nor proud of what my ancestors have done because their decisions of hate, anger, fear and injustice are not mine. No hatred, no fear, no evil can infect my heart if I don't let it. When I hear the pipes wailing, when i see the dark raininy skies, when i feel the wind blowing on the endless fields of grass, I'm proud. Not of the name that was given to this land nor of the ideas it defends but of the blood in my veins, shared by all of us.

  • @walatalalaw that is fckin beautifull man... respect

  • @jshaw320 You can still be English and know that what we did in the past was wrong and injustice but there's no need to slander everyone.

  • @HarleyInDamn What makes you think that England was the only country in those times doing wrong? Everyone was just as bad as each other, simple.

  • @AVCMH14 Well, that's true. But not every country at that time was trying to take over all of Europe.

  • @09irishwarrior I wouldn't call Scotland and Wales all of Europe :P

  • @AVCMH14 you know what i mean..

  • @jshaw320 whoa whoa whoa!! whites are NOT supposed to attack eachother. Come on now, muslims are the real enemy here

  • @MrCrazyenergy

Are you just being sarcastic (as I would very much hope you are)? Because if you are not, then you are just plain stupid. Islam is a religion, not a race. White people can be Muslims too. NO ONE is supposed to attack the other.

  • @sford605 why is a comment like this on this page, of Braveheart?

  • @jtminutisme1

I know. MrCrazyEnergy was just being absurd. It's bad enough that people make hateful, ridiculous comments, but this is hardly the place for their insanity.

  • @jshaw320 come down maan

  • @jshaw320 yes, good man

  • @jshaw320 don't blame people for what their ancestors did.

  • @nenaj1 Amen.

  • @jshaw320 For the record, Scotland wanted union with England in 1707. Try and get your historical facts right pls

  • @jshaw320 I guess we cant take you serious...boy?

  • Always makes me cry :'( This film and this soundtrack are so beautiful!

  • I love this song...

  • I LOVE IT!!

    BEST SOUNDTRACK EVER!!

  • We had this played during our wedding ceremony , we had a handfasting ceremony where our hands were tied together in a tartan sash enclosing our wedding rings , v

Very haunting , moving and very memorable , hardly a dry eye in the house!

  • @pammycowan what the fuck is wrong with u...

  • @splintezzz well we enjoyed it dont give stuff what u think bout it!

  • @pammycowan

if u dnt give a stuff wht he thinks tht why r u responding?

  • just love this film so much .........

  • such a remarkable score

  • Sooo Classic man best movie and soundtrack ever.

  • He was not a martyr as such, he doesn't deserve that privelege after killing hundreds of English civillians, regardless of what the crowns forces had done to him, and it was never as personal as what the film portrays.

  • @Watain666 you have no idea of what the crown allowed and proposed to happen to the citizens of scotland... read a history book not writted by someone from england or wales. you will find that the crown proposed that at a scotsmans wedding the bride was to be raped by one if not many ENGLISH soldiers as to impregnate the bride so she would give birth to a loyal ENGLISH subject. in most cases if the bride did not get pregnant the local magistrate would have her executed. DUMB ASS ENGLISHMAN.

  • A pathetic excuse for a film but still one of the best soundtracks going, pity Wallace was made to look like such a saint when he did worse to the English populae
