The Fender Bass VI is actually a bass, A short-scale bass. It's tuned E>e one octave below standard tuning. Scale is 30". String gauges .095-.026. Can handle bass lines as well as some guitar. Used a lot by Robert Smith of The Cure to get that dark sound.

Look at any of her live stuff here, she has no need to mime ,she has a god like tallent .The Jay Leno sound crew are superb as always ,But the only miming I'm aware of was on the UK top of the pops Perfect day Elise.
Now i like this song ,the sparse arrangement,the accordian ,The 'Joan Crawford on acid' thing,and then the lyrics.can't express this enough but i've never seen anyone quite like her -not even Peter Gabriel w/ Genesis had more personas to inhabit.
Seems like it was part of the stage act for that tour. They had "staged" chemistry for most of the live performances I've seen which ties into the album.
