Cliff Hanger Laser Disc Arcade Game Windows Daphne Start Up Help Tips

mike, i have an ".iso" file "daphne_96 X" which is supposed to have cliff hanger, dragon's layer, and space ace. i don't know how to point daphne in the direction of the iso or. do i need to convert it to a dvd-video? If I do that, how do I point the DVD to daphne? Thanks.

mike I was able to get 11 of the games to work including space ace and dragon's lair and thayer's quest. with version daphine -0.99.7

@MrLinemancriss - Hi Criss. That's cool. Out of all the games that I got on the preloaded discs, the ones I really wanted were Cliff Hanger and Astron Belt. The other laserdisc games I cared most about were ones that I already had on CD Rom. Namely, those were Dragon's Lair I and II, and Space Ace.

Hi Criss. I didn't run into the problem with my discs that you're running into. You'll have to direct that question to Sir Nick. Sir Nick, who runs RomCollector, is also a YouTube user. His screen name is mrserv0n18. I think Sir Nick (mrserv0n18) may be distributing a different version now than he sent to me. I'd message mrserv0n18 with your question, I would assume that he would have the answer for you. I'm sorry that I couldn't help you.

mike please help i got the 4 disk from rom collectors. and copyed them to c:/daphne

but when i try to start any game it calls for origanal disk and some game are missing files what should i do

Hi. Maybe you could just use the disc that came in your set. Just make sure you're clicking on the Daphne Loader file straight from your disc and not the Daphne Loader file that's on your hard drive. Let me know if that works.

Hey Mike its Nick from romcollector I got a 720p version of cliff hanger now for daphne if you want it My Cliff hanger runs right off the hard drive another person said theres freezes off the hard drive not sure what the deal is there

Hi Nick. I'm all set with discs. I was just having a hell of a time getting Cliff Hanger to start until I figured out the little trick that I'm showing in this video. There's no harm done. At least I can now play the game when I want to, which is the only thing I really was after. Thanks for making the discs available. Trying to load torrent files was a long, laborious, and fruitless waste of time.

i have the discs, but 1 and 4 stop loading at sdq.m2v (disc 4) and esh.m2v (disc 1.) i get Cannot copy sdq: Data error (cyclic redundancy check). any tips? the other 2 discs loaded but the loader doesn't work for any of the games...

I never had that problem with the discs I got. I really don't have a definite answer for you. If you copied your files to all the right folders, and you're doing what I've shown in the video, I don't know why you'd be having problems. You should be using the Daphne Loader version that came on your discs, and have copied your files to the correct locations. You should also be sure that you have sufficient hardware. If you have those bases covered, I'm sorry that I really couldn't help you.

ok thanks... if i create a file called daphne in my c: and copy and paste the discs into it, that should do it, right? just want to make sure i'm putting the files in the right place...
