I didn't mind driving them really, as you say very cold in winter. Nottingham City Transport looked after theirs better.so I loved driving them.

I drove these in the 70's they were my most hated of buses, they were uncomfortable to drive and you froze to death in the winter, it was a great day when they went.

My favourite bus to drive was the Leyland national.

We used to get these as school buses until 2007!

My great uncle worked for British Leyland.
