mussle work makes the dog slower in reacting ...thats something they dont need in protec.work

Why does it slow them down? Is it because they don't get the actual sensation of the bite?

because mussle weigh more,more body mass is slower reaction .there got to be a balance in them.
when then need to protect they need to be fast in reaction lot weight slows them down.
it has nothing to do with their workinkingdrive or bite .their full action bite will break arms/bones.

oh ok my bad.
we (dutch)call that an 'haltie' we use it when the dog pulls to much on the leash
while walking the dog .
im not known with the technique you just discribed.
