How wonderful! Sometimes I have some notion that the people running it all are hardcore criminals. Rest assured, Catherine Ashton is here to ensure cooperation and the security of institution building in a manner to the benefit of all. So the next time UN, NATO, EU, Goldman Sachs forces invades another sovereign nation, I just have to remind myself that I'm too dumb to understand it and that I need to be grateful to people like Ashton who have made ours such a wonderful world in which to live
Well, Russia I'm afraid is really not a good example. And Norway in terms of policies is pretty much an EU country. They adopt the majority of the EU initiatives and actually have less freedom than the actual EU states since they have no say in the EU negotiations of the EEA. Norway is also a part of the nordic council, the nordic battle group, the EDA etc. Switzerland also have to adopt EU law without having a say in order to be a part of the common market, so I'm afraid it's not that easy.
Oi, fellaz! I just have one simply question. What is that shit in 0:22? It is not a map of Europe, is it? You lucky bastards, where is Hungary? The current leader of the rotating presidency...Has Serbia and Romania eaten her? Jesus Crist
There is now political pressure to force our corrupt EU loving Government to give the UK a referendum on our continuing European Union membership. No offence to Europeans that love the EU, but many of my fellow countrymen can't wait to get out of the EU. Like Russia, Switzerland and Norway, we want to trade with the EU but don't want to be run by the EU. The likes of Cathy Ashton and other traitors in our Lib-Lab-Connunist political system should then face criminal prosecution for treason.
@RedGoblinus ur free to go out of eu everytime u want.but as far as i know according to last demographic test 95% of neglish sitizens said that they wanna stay in eu.so ur either 5% or some american who says that hes englsih and he tries his best to say bad words about eu lets face itusa is afraid of eu.btw do u know that uk earns from eu more or less 58%of its gdp?and that u give in eu thesame money as the rest of the european states? also do u realise that united wer strong and divided wefail?
@itachiitachi1946 We in England are not free to leave the European Union. England and the United Kingdom have never had an electoral referendum on our expensive membership of the corrupt and criminal led European Union. There is currently a campaign to get a referendum on our membership of the EU and I'll vote against our membership.
@RedGoblinus England is free to leave Europe if it so desires, there is a protocol in place for member states that wish to leave. True Britain has never had a referendum but the EU has also tried to balance the democratic defecit that the EU created. Keep reading the Daily Mail though, give you more ideas for your spiel.
@whatsthisthen You're getting muddled. The Daily Mail is Tory and for EU membership. The Tories took us into the EEC in 1973 then into the EU in 1992 as a way of getting our taxes into the pockets of the rich Tory landowners via the European Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). No surprise then that Tory David Cameron will not give us a referendum on the EU - as he once promised in order to get votes.
@RedGoblinus Still doesn't hide the fact that England and the UK are free to leave the Union, the only thing holding you back is your "corrupt" government. You have no basis for claiming that the EU-leadership is corrupt.
@1AxS1 You joker. :-) Look up "Nigel Farage on who's who in the EU commission" on YouTube. Nigel Farage clearly explains who the known liars, criminals and traitors are that run the European Union.
@RedGoblinus, Well you have to remember that british law or any national law does not apply to the EU. Hence if a goverment break their own national laws in order to comply to the EU, european law has not been breached. So you have to keep in mind that whatever national laws may have been broken, according to european law (which is above the national law) this is corrupt or illegal only on a national level.
@1AxS1 In this respect, the European Union is a very dangerous organisation as it is totally unaccountable to the people of Europe. What redress is there for the people of Europe against the all powerful and unelected people - such as the unelected and undemocratic Lady Cathy Ashton - that run the European Union?
@RedGoblinus Well of course, power in all of its forms is potentially dangerous. However the EU is to the UK kind of what the UK is to Scotland in terms of law-making so I don't see the real issue. The EU is probably even more democratic since each country is entitled to leave, but this is once again a problem that must be solved on a national level. But sure the EU could be even more democratic, but the parliment, which all the laws have to pass through is directly democratically elected.
@1AxS1 You seem like a committed European Unionist and that's your choice. My opinion is that our EU membership has brought great economic harm to the United Kingdom. The UK was - relatively - a lot better off prior to joining the EEC in 1973 as we were free to trade with the rest of the world in our own way and we had special trading relationships with our Commonwealth countries such as Canada and Australia. The EU represents yet another expensive, unwanted and unecessary tier of Government.
@RedGoblinus You might very well be correct about the UK's economical issues, my knowledge of the economical policies of Britain for the last 30 years is very limited. :-) And yes I'm definitely pro-EU but I do believe criticism of the EU definitely should be put forward when it is needed. The problem is that a lot of eurosceptics tend to unrightfully attack the union of things it is not meant to handle and to use arguments based on ignorance and predjudice rather than actual knowledge.
@1AxS1 I assume you are from Sweden and European Union membership may well suit the Swedish people and Swedish economy far better than it does the United Kingdom. Over the last 30 years the UK economy has shrunk its manufacturing base to become far too over reliant on finance and insurance to make money. With the collapse of the world finance markets, the UK has been far worse affected than - say - Germany that has a far better manufacturing base than the UK. EU membership is good for Germany.
@RedGoblinus Well yes, as a small country we have a lot to gain from a membership both economically and in terms of international influence. But it sounds to me that for the UK the trouble really isn't the EU but Britain's own historical policies and poorly governed finances. But I really doubt that closing the doors to Europe will improve Britain's financial problems. The pound is still independent from the euro which gives the UK a lot of economic freedom, with all the benifits of the EU.
@1AxS1 My view is that the United Kingdom should be able to trade with the EU and not be run by or be part of the EU. European countries such as Switzerland, Norway and Russia are doing very well by not being members of the EU and they can still trade with the EU.
Catherine Ashton is a slave to the EU. Does she not realize that Bosnia is on the brink of collapse with a total suffocation and stagnation of it's government by the Dayton Agreement to which the EU agreed upon. She is nothing more than a spout used by the EU to tell the world that it looks like they might actually by making a change..fat chance.
