@Nephet1112 Not really, but that's because we started planning for it very early. That wall was recently added to create the room behind it. When we were framing in the door, we reinforced the frame with four 2x4s to support a heavy bookcase; very uncommon for most doors, but not very expensive. The Bookcase I bought on Craigslist for less than $100. We used 4 heavy-duty gate hinges to attach the bookshelf to the door frame. Those, plus all the other hardware was probably less than $50.

The hinges where not placed correctly so that tells me there was already a door there. Perhaps a new frame was put in but that's it... 007 failed..... but good video..nice try anyway!

Yes, I figured it was more for fun. I plan on using mine to hide the entrance to a safe room in my home where I will store valuables and a safe place for the family to going if there is a tornado or home intruder.

a much easier idea and possibly more tricky is to just leave the regualr door where it is for the secret room, make it appear that when someone opens it that its just a closet with coats and the closet regualrs, turn the hanging rod and a rope and pulley releases the back wall and presto, to are in your secret room, its right out in plain sight. Your buddies thought it was a closet......

Cool idea, except it's quite ghetto. Why not just use a door closing mechanism, like a Norton to keep pressure on the door and closed all the time. Then you can always get in by just pulling. If that band breaks you are seriously screwed.
