  • My dog died of distemper...

Your dog is very lucky she survived

  • same thing happen to my 2 mont year old golden retriever puppy

  • My friend's dog died of distemper in her brother's arms while they were on their way to the animal hospital. And it was only 2 weeks after they got it.

    (Female italian greyhound)

  • I am Daveyo, but sorry to tell you your dog is not free of this disease. It is now in the CNS and it will eventually kill your pet. It was purely genetics that it survived. Canine Distemper is curable today. Please go to search and type caninedistempercure-com as I cannot put a site on here, and it is a authenticated medical site. If you have a dog who has any of the sympthoms of this disease please do not hesitate as time is of essence to save your pet. Thank you.

  • Hi Kewlioc, I hope your dog is well and happy. If you don't mind me asking, did she get distemper after the first vaccination and were their any problems immediately after the 2nd vaccine?

  • Its not an easy thing to do, we gave her a lot of vitamins, supplements, fresh vegetable for her to play and chew on, included apple cider into her drinks and just make sure that vits and supps are given every 6-8 hours which probably means a lot of hassle including waking up at night. Also we constantly spray germicide around her area. It just takes a lot of care and prayer.

  • mine getting better now. Her vet said can take 2nd vacine soon.

  • Hi well my dog survived to the distemper she is really good and healthy i hope yours still ok its a long fight against the virus, but when mine was diagnosed she has some neurological damages, but her inmune system reacted ok to the meds and now is a happy dog.

    Hope yours be fine .
