And I've only listened to a couple songs, but this is so obviously influenced by Robots in Disguise.

No, most of our songs just say straight out that we like him. This one is more hidden.
Anyway, I don't think this sounds like transformers at all. The only redeeming feature of that movie was Shia LaBeouf because he's kind of hot.
