  • Awesome!

  • @toology55 A friend made it for me :)

  • @guitarnoize Cool, I have a Les Paul Standard 2010 limited (robot), but love the feel of my G&L Legacy, the reason I'm watching this, might have to get one.

  • Where'd you get that shirt?

  • my mates uncle is trev wilkonson, pretty cool:P

  • Is there any chance/anyway that someone can contact the guitar manufacturers an provide them with that fact? Cuz i've seen a lot of guitars oriented to the auto tuning/ simulated tuning areas but none of them seem to have an Eb preset wich i think would be really appreciated by all the guitar players out there...

Sorry for the several comments and my bad english...

  • @jjvillafane You can overwrite any of the factory presets with your own very easily with the Super-matic so you could set Eb

  • @jjvillafane hi there ,can you tell mewhat price this guitar costs in the u k ? cheers jimmy

  • @j7777777 its look 1000 quid, try purple turtle music

  • The VG Strat has 5 different tunings, but i only use about 2 or 3 them... I would have find way more useful an Eb tuning, cuz' there's a lot more songs out there that use this tuning instead of the others (Open G, Open E, DADGAD, etc, etc...)

  • With this Fret- King guitar (as with the Gibson Robot Guitar) you may not have any problem with the sound as you're using the signal coming from the actual pickup, but, is there any chance this system produces any damage on the strings due to contant stress and reduces its durability? How it changes the process/stability/precision of fine tuning the intonation?

  • I'm the happy owner of a Fender VG Strat..! As you all probably know, the VG uses Roland midi technology to emulate different tunings and guitar sounds with the turn of a knob. The dissadvantages that i found on the VG are that sometimes can be hard to get the sounds from the MIDI pickup to cut trough the mix, and the other one it's that it doesn't have an Eb flat preset...

  • does this wear on the strings at all? I know that switching my guitar frequently from standard, to open G, to Eb, etc. wears on the strings and makes them easier to break. How likely are the strings to break as they retune?

also, what would happen if you were to try to tune to, say, standard tuning with a capo on the first fret? would it put it in Eb, or would it not work because of the capo? (this is just a for-fun question ^_^)

  • @christianrockr08 I imagine if you change tumulus a lot then yes it will probably impact the life of strings but if you change them regularly like once a month they'll never break. As for your tuning question with the capo I assume yes it would tune semitone flat but not totally sure

  • hey saw the thread on jemsite nice review. if your interested in the coil split knob for your other guitars. seymour duncan has a wiring diagram for it.you don't need to buy special pots or anything.it will be under humbucker with the title one humbucker one volume one spin a split.

  • how does it compare to your Suhr tone wise, and how is the neck in comparison?

  • @infernalgr well it's a different pickup configuration and different wood combo too, my Suhr with the basswood/Maple body and 1 pc Maple neck is much brighter as you would expect than an Alder/Rosewood combo. Great tones though, I really like the bridge pickup for overdrive tones. The neck feels quite similar to the Suhr but with a 10" radius on the fretboard compared to the Suhr's compound radius 12-16". Basically it feels more like a trad strat than the Suhr.

  • Looks great, appears to work great too. The tunings you played and the tunings you said didn't match up though, 1st one was Open E, 2nd was Open G

  • @kirkhetfieldtrujillo I've updated the more info with all the factory preset tunings, the 1st is E Standard, EADGBE, the 2nd I did was indeed Open G as I said. I didn't demonstrate open E (EBEG#BE) that is preset 4.
