are these slalom skates? they look like hockey skates. I'm trying to find women's slalom skates but all i can find are mens. should i revert to hockey skates?

The one she's using from what I can see are the SEBA KSJ models. Most slalom skates are unisex except for the K2's which are more suited for men because of the bulky boot. Sebas should do you justice with the range of vibrant colors.

Hockey skates are pretty hard to slalom with once you get fairly good.
