The CA18 is a 1.8l and the SR20 is a 2.0l(hence 1 and 20 in the names) but I picked a CA18 over a SR20 for my 240 because the SR20 hasan illuminum head, while the CA18 is metal, so it's a bit more reliable, although it doesn't push out as much power as an SR20, and they aren't extremely popular like the SR20.
really? The heads are both aluminum (illuminum), and also both metal. The CA is a cast iron block and the SR is and aluminum block. The engine block has next to nothing to do with reliability. The amount of power it takes to blow up any stock block would kill off the pistons, rod and valves long before the block is put to the test.
@akuma147 If only it were in North America, but clearly the steering wheel is on the right hand side I.E JDM so no IT'S a JDM Nissan Silvia S13. p.s they are in japan so they don't have really have a s13 coupe. The s13 in japan only in a coupe. If it were the hatch it would be a 180sx, if its a 180sx with a s13 front end then its a sileighty. There are the rare Silvia S13's over there with the 180/240sx front end but I believe that's just a swap for them since that was for North America only
dumb man seriously just out of curiousity umm isnt a 240sx supposed to be a drift car i mean if you really want that to be a time attack or track car thats kinda dumb u should of bought a dsm if thats the sittuation no point of modifing a drift car when you only need about 200 to 400 horespower like on jdm's
@chicagodrifters silly drifter s-chassis can be used for anything ur little heart desire. i prefer drifting them but anything works for the great s-chassis.
@chicagodrifters For a start it's a s13 not some american crap 240sx, and even if it was a sx it would 180sx... Fuck americans think everything is theirs

Hey, nice nica car first of all, but I had a few questions; 1. Where did you fit the AFM? Standard place is before the turbo, but yours seem to be somewhere else. 2. Where did you get that heatshield from? It looks great. Thanks!
he does not mean that; The Nissan RB Engine is derived from the 4 cylinder Nissan CA engine. i don't know if it is a fact or a rumour, i just know the word go's around.
Hello I am getting a 200sx (ca18det) here in argentina and wanted to know how much hp the stock tranny would take... Because I know the engine is awsome but wanted to know about tranny upgrading. Since I plan to drift and drag with high hp... thanks and nice run..
well for example you can run 12-13 psi on the stock turbo with a fmic and bolt on, and with a T25G you can do around 15-16 and with a S14 GT28R around 18psi and thats limited to the turbo cause then they just get too hot and blow hot air
Your pretty fucking stupid mate, do you even own a CA? Listen to the Cams in the cunt, also notice how he even did that run in 5th gear, and hear how fast it ramped up. These engines are basically RB's with 2 cyl cut off. People in Japan have even pulled 1000hp at the fly out of these, only last for a few runs but hey it still gets em a good pass on the quarter,
People as ignorant as you are just jealous, dont have the money to build a decent car themselves.
@somerandomaussie Sure they're ment to run in 4th gear, but this was ran in 5th gear. running it in 5th gear could also explain why the readouts are saying its got so much power, because if you run a car in 5th you will get higher HP and less torque, you run it in 3rd you will get less HP and more torque. but none the less this this car makes alot of power.

All that power from a 1.8l engine that still probably gets 30+mpg. This is why I love imports/4 cyls.
