Yeah I can say from experience that this is hard, done it a few times. And I disagree with an earlier comment that 8 ball and 9 ball suck, I mean snooker is the best but any game with a cue, pockets, balls and only one cue ball is good to me

That's not a push. He was shooting an angle. Most tourneys will require a min. distance between the cue and object or you must "jack-up" to force a stop or draw. If the cue ball follows beyond "1/2 ball into to origional position of the object" AND was too close to avoid a "double hit" it is concidered a push. & I only gamble with those who know the rules.. :-)
