I've been a DMB fan since 1992 when I first heard Under The Table & Dreaming. I missed them live for the first time this past year ONLY because they didn't "officially" tour. It was a fun run of almost 20 years seeing them live when they came to my town. I probably spent upwards of $3,000 buying tickets for family & friends to come with me...and I...WOULDN'T...TRADE...ONE...PENNY for the memories made at those shows. Thanks to DMB and The Warehouse for keeping me a fan.

It's about America, plain and simple, and how the nation had seemingly lost its way leading up to and certainly after 9/11. You don't have to break it down to a seminar, I think the song is more about inclusion and how this country is made up of many types of people. Very different people at that. Embrace it, learn about it but don't hate it.

Such a great song! By the way everyone, Dave is a liberal, and the majority of the messages in his work come from a liberal point of view. Maybe you guys are politically confused, but if you enjoy Dave music and the messages they send out, then you are most likely a liberal too.

Shit guys this is YOUTUBE not some press conference to solve the world's problems. Write a letter to your local state representative if you're unhappy enough with the world to have to go on YouTube and complain about it. ANYWAY, I love this song.
