  • I can hoestly say, this "conservative" government is the exact opossite of what it claimed it was.

  • Richard Elden's a twat

  • ha ha david you really do talk a lot of shite!

  • yeah right...

  • You tried taking this from us too. FFS man you just bullshit your way through everything. Worse than my old landlord.

  • good job Dave, please don't fuck this up, teach the us a lesson, thanx

  • nhs back to people means "my friends are gona buy it out and where gona fuck all of you and whre gona use the newspapers to tell you this is the best way so nobody argues with us"

  • @timetochilli ,,,,,,is that really the case?

  • @terrancelueckgen yep it happens all the time labour uses backdoor privitisation now its the tories

  • For as long as healthcare is in the hands of the state, the people will be denied a say in how it is run. The only way to make it truly accountable to those who use it is to privatise it.

  • @MrYoungIndependence Actually no, that will make it even worse.

    Look at the US system. Insurance organisations charge huge fees it creates a state of fear, "Should I go, my broken arm might be fine... no need in going to spend money just to have it checked then, even more if it is broken."

    Now imagen that across the entire UK.... Death rates would increase dramatically. Not to mention, private Sector Doctors have no idea how to do complex surgery. Go to a private healthcare and ask for a...

  • @red244 heart transplant. The reply you will get is, "Ok... but I have never done this before..."

  • The NHS should be means-tested; the deserving poor should be provided for, but those on high incomes should take responsibility for their own healthcare. If social mobility becomes a priority, incomes will increass. This will pave the way to a gradual phase-out of the NHS that will only be completed when the conditions are right.

    This is not the case in America, so any comparison of the two systems is spurious. In an ideal private system, efficiency would improve as a result of competition.

  • @MrYoungIndependence The current private healthcare in the UK is only good for small minor operations. Any major ones the NHS is best since most of the experianced doctors and experts work with the NHS.

    You phase out the NHS, which is 2nd best in the world currently. You face high fees for even the smallest operations and just for asking for a check up... Plus cost of insurance. Your pressuming compertition is benfical... but half the time it doesn't work in the modern world.

  • @red244 Why?

    1) Your therefore assuming their will be no price fixing between private health organisations. Which I can safely guess their will be since it will happen one time or other.

    2) The motivation becomes "Make profits." not "Help those in need."

    3) NHS is the biggest employer in Europe. Yeah good luck getting unemployment down through this action.

    4) I bet government will still tax people for health care.

    So do not make presumptions compertition is good, look at transport...

  • 1. In a free market economy, prices are reduced because of competition; supply comes with demand;

    2. Profits are a result of efficiency and effectiveness; this is the guarantor of good healthcare;

    3. Healthcare must comprise of hard-working individuals, regardless of who owns it; privatisation would not put this in jeaopardy;

    4. People would pay less tax if they were not obliged to sacrifice their hard-earned cash in order to fund free healthcare for those who do not need it.

  • You haven't read my comment thoroughly; I advocate both private enterprise and fairness. Only those who can afford to go private should do so; the rest should be protected by a safety net. I wish to lift as many people out of poverty as possible, whereas you would keep them down.

  • This election is still wide open

    Unlike in 1997, when there was such a desire for change, there is no overwhelming desire for the Tories. tax cuts for the rich, cuts in public services is not going to help it will plunge us backwards.The Tories' rhetoric about progressive conservatism does nothing to mask the fact their ideas mark a return to Thatcherism.Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in memory as the wish to forget it and we ain't forgotten the Tories.

  • You're right; there isn't an overwhelming desire for the Tories in this country, but that's because the public has been brainwashed into believing that enterprise is bad and that they need government intervention to survive, and have left us with one of the most grievously wounded economies in Europe. Austerity and cuts in spending are necessary, and so is an increase in the private sector to properly return to growth.

  • Labour no longer trusted on NHS: New poll shows damning effect on voters of squandered billions

  • yawn, maybe someone else can post a comment rather than unemployed greatwhitepoet for a change!

  • The more of David Cameron people see, the less they like.

    Polling suggests Tory leader's likeability falls every time he's on TV.

    No surprise the public are seeing through him.any more of this and the Tories will have lost one of their key electoral assets: David Cameron's "X-factor". Indeed, it may already be lost.

    Basically in a nut shell he talks shit and looks shit.

  • Step your game up Cameron! Put health care back to private industry idioto!

  • Ask Daniel Hannan abour the REAL Tory attitude towards the NHS.

  • Vote for Conservative vote for ruining the Britain and return back to Margaret Thatche's dark period.

  • vote for labour and DESTORY and ruin this country for good another 5 years of Brown and this country will be fucked for good DONT vote labour

  • Cameron Jumps to a ten point lead.

  • David Cameron speech: 'We will give the NHS back to people'

    Yeah Right Dave. . !

    SO LONG AS WE PAY FOR IT IN YOUR PRIVITISATION & INSURANCE SCHEMES!

  • VOTING LIB DEM 2010!

    NICK CLEGG 4 British Prime Minister!

  • who are you trying to kid, Dave?

  • Plant More Trees....Provide Oxygen For Tomorrows Children....Yours....

  • Who's Cameron kidding!

  • David Cameron is just another puppet politician, part of one of the main parties that are loyal to the power structure. Voting is a scam designed to make you think you have a choice when you don't. The police continues to be built around us as part of the globalist agenda. Research the new world order.

  • When this guy get's elected, we're fucked.

  • "Choice" and "accountability" are certainly a good buzz-words, but I hear "privatisation" behind it.
