@TheKah521 it's called a 'Kongoshin,' or counter, one of Gouken's special moves - it works on any move that isn't a throw or armour breaking. Performing the move is like doing a shoryuken but in the other direction (down back down punch) and the move only lasts for about half a second. Pressing Light punch counters lows, Medium punch counters mids and Hard punch counters high attacks, however the EX version can counter any normal, as well as projectiles.

@Realmasterorder Eh. The only thing overpowered about Akuma in Vanilla was the standing jab to roundhouse loop. They hit his damage and stun a little bit too hard in Super. If your opponent guesses right just ONE time in a mixup you're in deep trouble. And he has to work to get there because DF is easy to read. A reasonable U2 would have been nice, but it turned out to be one of the worst in the game. The startup is 14 frames AND you can duck under it which is utterly ridiculous.

Alot of people turn a blind eye to him when you have more solid and easier characters to play in the cast that are in the long run more rewarding in tournament play. For example: bison, balrog, ryu, etc

I hate using Bison, Ryu, Ken, etc because theyre so easy to use that I can literally do the same moves over and over again and win. A 4 year old button mashing could win with them. Its just unsatisfying and unskillful to use characters like them. Why would anyone even bother playing if they're just going to do that? SF4 is unbalanced.
