  • What is 'H' stand for?

  • Yes.

  • Floor H is actually 13 and it got the North American Superstition

  • Do you travel a lot?

  • Yes

  • What floor is H?

  • I'm not crazy about those bumpers either.

And I had no idea that Mitsubishi made elevators.

  • Mitsubishi is the 4th largest elevator company in the world - the largest in Japan.

  • Mitsubishi in the world comes in Rank 4. The Largest is Otis

  • Correct - Also, Schindler is the 2nd largest with ThyssenKrupp being the 3rd and Kone being the 5th largest in the world. Interestingly, Kone is the largest manufacture of gearless traction elevators.

  • @musicfreakcc Actually, Wikipedia says KONE goes for rank 4 for the world.

  • @musicfreakcc Actually, KONE is 4th largest for the world. Source: Wikipedia

  • once i press the E button i all i remember after that was waking up out side in the car park really strange

  • hey! bet it would freak you out if you pressed H and it took you to 1 instead????

  • It would be abnormal for a controller to behave that way, but I have seen some Haughton controllers from the 1970's that behave like that (which is very dumb).

  • Revenge of the doors lol.

  • Every 7 yrs old and more Mitsubishi elevator in Asia sounds like that including in My country (Indonesia).... =)

  • I like the bell.

  • And the direction bell sounds a lot like the dinner bell used on Westinghouse elevators.

  • Is it a geared traction?

  • I believe so.

  • wow I love this elevator very nice elevator I love that bell and the car it self great elevator

  • I've shot a few Mitsubishi models recently. They use dot matrix floor number displays.

  • Ever went on an elevator with a broken door open button?

  • I had before in a university in an old elevator with a broken sensor.

  • I guess they're not up to modern technology with the American elevators yet.

  • Actually, they were used on all elevators before the infrared sensors came out in the 1980's.

  • This elevator is from the 90's, as many elevators in China have bumpers (even new ones).

  • Yes, actually this design dates back to the mid-1980s. The font used in the floor indicator seems to deviate from those symbolic of Mitsubishi, though the flashing on arrival is utilized.

  • Bumpers are mostly on Dovers

  • Yes, but bumpers are on many elevators (even new ones) in China.

  • Is level H the penthouse suites?

  • No , it has a health club.

  • The other two elevators at this hotel only went up to level 12.

  • Forgot to mention that.

  • otis makes bumpers too but yeah I mostly see them on dover. oh and so does schindler Ive seen very rarely but older schindler have bumpers never seen them on montgomery or westinghouse there used to be on the glass one in monroville mall but they got scenors now

  • In Hong Kong as safety is the most important concern, even newer elevators with sensors also have bumpers in case the sensors fail or as a secondary safety guard.
