If you're installing to the latest firmware on custom and you get 16xx errors, then try to remove saurik's host address and try your iphone upgrade again.

@TAdams9795 by factory i meant reinstall to the official firmware, its the only thing to do at this point, check first to see if you can jailbreak your ipod with the latest firmware if not then you just have to stick on the official one for now

it says error 1604, so i do this, then it gives me error 2005

everything says 2005 just move usb ports but that doesnt work.

whenever im in DFU mode it gives me 2005

but whenever im not it either gives me error 20, 1604, or 3xxx.

could you help me out?

@creationsk8er123 Try restarting your computer. Trust me. It's happened to me where iReb will find my phone in DFU mode and not iTunes. Just turn your iPod back on in Recovery Mode, while you computer's restarting. Log on if you need to and before anything, run iReb. After Going through the DFU steps, and your computer was restarted recently, there shouldn't be a problem this time. Sorry if this didn't work, though I would try and help.

Download Tinyumbrella (google it) and start it up. then press [Start TSS Server] and you will see that tinyumbrella is now online with a server. Then go to the Advanced tab and deselect [set hosts to cydia on exit etc..]

You have now solved error 3194.

Just run itunes and start updating!

@kingson569 ok what u do is hook it up to your pc if itunes comes up and sais ipod unexpectivly in RECOVERY MODE then unhook your ipod hold the power and home botton (AT SAME TIME) for 20 seconds then realease the home or power i forgot try one the first time and the other the 2nd this happened with my iphone 4 HD and my iphone 2g and i jailbroke them both scince im 14 people just mostly buy them as an ipod :)

@votballer make sure that you run your iReb as administrator (right click, click properties, go to compatibility, check Run this program to compatibility mode for "Windows XP (Service Pack 2), then check the Run this program as an administrator, then apply it then ok) after doing it try to use iReb again and restore it(shift+click restore).
