Heading down the Trent and Mersey this summer. Is there a toll to use the boat lift? Would love to head into Northwich centre for the night.

The Anderton boat lift is very impressive - almost got a chance to use it this past summer but didn't have time to go down to the River Weaver....

Plus have the Book on The Anderton Boat Lift By David Carden
Anderton Boat Lift 1875 conversion from hydraulic lift in 1908 untill 1983 went it became unsafe abandoned 1983 to 2002 when repopened after restoration
This series of videos would be much more interesting with the orginal sounds.
