It's a pity I can't hear what you're saying very well because your comments sound interesting but I could hear your music well enough. It's good. Keep it up.
Beautiful melodic exploration in this invention. I like the way the voices were going back and forth, the base line is very colorful(A+ mate) Looking forward to more masterful compostions from you. CBD, will be ready soon.
I'm curious ... are you very good in math? Often people without formal training seem particularly good with counterpoint. Keep going and write something for organ!
I find maths boring, but when I could pay attention to it for long enough I got the jist of it quickly enough. I'd like to write an organ piece. I'm busy writing and arranging for orchestra right now, so we'll see how that goes. There'll be videos, you can be sure of that.
Congratulations on a very fine achievement Matthew. I love the fact that you so skillfully explore the wonderful world of counterpoint - bravo! - and that this particular Invention is in B minor - my favourite key.
Hi matthew, this is great because you make it sound like everybody could do this, if i just could understand i could barely hear you,. But it is clear now you are australian. ;-)
thank you so much for sharing this; you are quite talented. are you thinking of teaching composition in the future? i think you would be an inspiring teacher.

For me it is very interesting. Creating sounds. Splashing sounds from the soul into music. Thank you. Greetings from Polish.

Brilliant piece. The melody and chord changes are pretty unpredictable but they still sound harmonic.

Thanks, mate. It means a lot coming from you!
Hopefully I can catch you at one of your recitals eventually.

Recitals as such are few and far between.
You have technique - and I admire that!

Yes, I neglected to bump up the volume, and what's worse, my computer just up and died, so I've lost the original video!

I just might teach one day. I guess composition would be what I'd be best at teaching, though I'm self taught insofar as composition goes.
