I'm also on doxy. I'm always in the shade when outside but am tanner than I have ever been. So you don't have to be directly in it. Haven't gotten a visible sunburn but when I scratch it feels like my fingers are knives. Until I watched your video it didn't dawn on me that the tan is probably sun damage brought on by doxy. Sunburns also kick in the immune system for repair. Not a good thing when your immune system is already overworked. Take it easy & best of luck!
Sorry you're dealing with the effects of Doxy and the sun, too, although I'm glad you don't have any blatant sunburns. It stinks to be on it during the summer. I'm now on a lower dose so the sun sensitivity isnt' as bad at least but I still have to be careful. Hope you're doing alright!
Honey, start taking more colloidal silver. Research into Colloidal Gold. Buy some. Take it faithfully. Eventually you wont need anything else. Do the research its worth it. You dont deserve to be put through this.
Oh, man. I'm on oral doxy for more than a year and I got fried. I had to get a big floppy hat, I use lots of high SPF screen, and gloves on my hands because my knuckles are really sensitive to sunlight with the doxy. So strange for me because before I started treating I never was sun sensitive.
you can do everything but the sunburn is a chemical reaction and it's going to happen to some degree. i'm really bad about taking my oral meds as well. we keep a notebook that has checklist and we journal what is going on to take to the doctor. we keep everything health realted in the notebook. for somebody with terrible brain issues this helps immensely. hope the doctor can help you get things sorted and you can keep from getting too bad the next few days. take care. : )
banana boat makes this aloe lotion that is amazing for this. it helped me so much when i had to be on abx and outside last summer. we kept it in the fridge and kept adding it and it helped with the pain and made the burn go away faster.
i know that Columbia makes sun proof gloves and most clothing is less than 30 spf. sorry to hear you're burnt but doxy makes it really impossible to fight off the sun burn unless you cover everything and re apply. check out the banana boat aloe lotion. : )
Thanks so much for the suggestion. I got some after sun lotion the other day but haven't used it yet. Keeping it in the fridge is a good tip.
I have sun proof gloves from Coolibar (I got them through Amazon) and they work fine but I hate wearing them at work. Hopefully we'll figure something out - probably involving backing off on the Doxy but I'm okay with that.
Hope you have a good weekend! And thanks so much for all your suggestions and comments!
