  • lovely song, one u cant tire of if uve ever experienced these feelings...

  • only a thing...wonderful....

  • One of the best albums ever!

  • I love this song so much! The atmosphere created in The Mantle is so thick and foggy, I can almost smell the fresh air and the aroma of crushed pine needles and burning campfires in the wilderness.

  • i listen to this song since i was 13, its amazing <3

  • this is beautiful

  • This song makes me want to pick my electric guitar back up again

  • Though fire rages within me,

No fire burns fiercer than her desire.

So true, you really have to live it to understand it.

  • amazing song, amazing album, amazing band. Agalloch <3

  • long time passed and the girl who i love leave me like i write 1 year ago i gotta do 3 things

    1.listen this song

    2.drink

    3.drink again

oh life how cruel are you? how? raining outside listening this cold atmosphere what can i do nothing whisper in my ears she were but a ghost in my arms now i understand this song more good

  • one of my favourite Agalloch songs.. the cleans are truely beautiful, I can't understand why Haughm hate to do them, he's voice is amazing

  • And I thought Old Man's Child first EP was brilliant...man. This is...oh man.

  • I want to go to a forest right now and listen to this song.

  • I find quite a few BM/DM growls highly irritating but his seems to fit really nicely. He pulls it off well.

  • Great music,great pictures!!;)

  • Getting major chills...

  • the second half breaks down emotionally ...

  • So grim...

  • im sry but i have to ask where u get these pictures for the videos cos they are awesome, do you type something into google or something. I HAVE TO KNOW!!!!

  • @nadman14 Mostly get images from Google image searches as well as user contributions.

  • Really awesome song, must listen One M0:00RE Time.

  • @AxiomaticInfinity 4. Get back together with her

    5. Have an forest orgy with her and the trees

    6. Meditate some more

  • Play this at my funeral.....

  • makes me cry...

  • what genre is this?????

  • @darkmatter616 Black metal, folk metal, post metal, post rock. It's really hard to say what genre agalloch is because they are so unique.

  • @darkmatter616 avantgarde

  • @darkmatter616 S'hard to put Agalloch in one specific genre. However, it has influences on post metal, folk, black, and depressed subcore. However, personally I prefer to call their style as one of their albums: Pale Folklore

  • I might see them this April, like their music is great.

  • This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment. Fucking pathetic bullshit.

  • 666 comments. Yes. ahaah

  • lol@ the 666 likes. To avoid messing that up, xoruhtra likes this.

  • have this album fucking great

  • Fucking beautiful song.

  • amazing band !!

  • yeeeah!!! giveme a drink!!!

  • @BLASPHEMY85 THIS

  • Ahh nothing like being wrapped up in a warm blanket and rocking some Agalloch when you're snowed in :D

  • @slopper18 Even better - walking during the first heavy snow for the year, listening to Agalloch in your headphones :]

  • any1 think the vocals sound like that guy from pet shop boys?

  • I die in your arms and yet I live within, like the quiet sounds of the forest under the sun, I awaken and die again!!!!!!! Awaiting the moon it touches me with the thoughts of you and the dream, together we cross time and space and yet we awaken alone, still oceans to cross, I would do that and more, to touch you and live within your skin! Just to LOVE, YOU!

  • I die in your arms and yet I live within, like the quiet sounds of the forest under the sun, I awaken and die again!!!!!!! Awaiting the moon, to let me dream and awaken to you!

  • what album is this one from? i cant find it anywhere

  • @jokerthesmoker666 The Mantle.

  • wow this is excellent very nice 555****** BRAVO

  • the shit. Hail American Metal man. my hommy from Germany send me this gem.

well Eddie told yu we got it man !

  • I love these guys... I've bought all their stuff on emusic.... I listen to it on long commutes to and from work... awesome.

  • this band gave my life a new outlook.

    i love agalloch.

  • i wanna drink cause i remeember her eua..:(

  • I just woke up. its a cold and cloudy day...i make a cup of coffe i light a cigar and i stare at the opened window! i still miss her :)

  • the song title along made my tears cry.

  • opinions opinions opinions again / respect all

    ı damn this oak

  • Anyone know where i can get this song for free? Tried frostwire, limewire, kazam, and nothing... i want it.

  • @TheJcGTO

    Buy it...

I can not understand people like you. Instead of supporting a band, you want to steel their songs. And i guess, you dislike mainstream bands? If you would think, just only for a second, you would recognize that not-mainstream music can only exist if their listeners support them by buying their albums and songs. Its really hard work to create such breathtaking songs, so please stop downloading and start to think. We've lost too many good bands, because of downloads....

  • A good band that puts a lot of emotions in their song, and it's from US (country of crap metal) XD ??? Unbelievable!

  • Ten idiots watched this video.

  • @Phantasm09 Ha, maybe those ten "idiots" are actually geniuses in disguise. This and falling snow are my dish washing songs, along with a nice glass of some sort of libation. Yes it's true! It's such a romantic sort of metal.(Never know when someone is going to drop by and eat my gourmet cooking off my very clean plates...)

  • Nature, Loss, Depression, Death, Winter.

  • I'm looking forward to the new album.

It will be great, no doubt.

  • fuck!!! how can you guys listen to this song after a girl dumps you??, i love this song dont get me wrong, but its very dark, its gonna take ur sadnees depper into the abyss. Id listen to some Death, its got balls but its not doom like

  • @alonescool Some slow mellow rock for me. Pearl Jam or the Chilis do the trick. Awesome song, by the way. :D

  • @alonescool Well, for me, if im really sad or pissed off etc. The sadder or angrier the song is, the better i feel

  • @Blackmetal9000 i hear you, if iam sad, i need some death, or some classic jazz, if iam pissed, id love some of this or just about anything that has balls, or anything that the writer felt the song when he/she wrote it. neways this song kicks ass and the name is awesome

  • @alonescool same for me.. I'd probably kill myself.. so I use to listen to some death, or pagan black metal.. it has to have energy, energy, that I've lost due to the situation. my favourite for that times is Slavigrom - Vizie O Konci, it had allways helped me get trough the worst phase. BTW drinking is bullshit.. problems can swim, impossible to drown them in alcohol without drowning yourself..

  • Un Dark metal con mucha influencia del darkfolk, hipnotico y estremecedor. Una vena muy sofisticada, metal moderno y oscuro. excelente!!

  • Dark magic♥

  • idk why, but to me, this song kind of has a wilderness ambiance.

  • @patsmcgee408 then Agalloch has done their job well

  • enchanting

  • aesthetic used for the sake

  • Haunting.

  • Agalloch, Opeth, Tool, In Flames -- love 'em all. By the way if you haven't listened to Opeth I'd suggest starting with Damnation since it's a softer sound that you can ramp up from.

  • @achromaticgentile or just listen to thier 1st album.

  • @chevelleandopeth True, although that's the one I don't own. Haha.

  • Tout simplement incroyable. Magnifique.

  • iv listend to 3 of these guys songs, and all 3 i fell in love with, these guys are offically in my top bands of all time with Opeth and Tool. i must listen to every song by them, every single one is amazing in its own right.

  • These guys remind me very highly of Opeth and that's not a bad thing at all :D

  • insan mısınız siz yaw bu nasıl müzik lan ......(hastasıyım :) )

  • Not only a beautiful song but possibly the most evocative lyrics I've ever heard. Cheers KSCIAA

  • @keithblabbermouth Yeah I live a very nihilistic, naturalistic, brutal, blackmetal life here in the northern woods of minnesota. This music fits beautifully with the natural beauty of the outdoors here.

  • Insanely Amazing And Beautiful Song!

  • second song i've heard from them and i've already decided; this is my favorite band

i juast can't believe what my ears percieve...

  • Incredible song, totally fucking awesome.

  • this song is godly...BUT

  • i love u all cause u all love this....@f4ftantum at least you have a sense of humor. life is cruel sometimes i know but there are gorgeous people out there and i dont mean outwardly and you will come upon them and they will quietly bless you with their presence...peace

  • excellent lyrics. the screams fit so well with the clean vocals as well.

  • Again a pure masterpiece....

  • My god this is such a beautiful song. Perfect to listen to when in the snow. =]

  • 6:53 on is beautiful.

  • best music for snow ever!

  • the girl who ı love if leaves me .. ı got to do 3 things

    1.listen this song

    2.drink

    3.drink again....

  • This works. I know from experience.

  • @f4ftantum if she leaves u shes dumb n i like this song

  • @f4ftantum I'm with you my friend... It's hard to let her go

  • @f4ftantum been there done that hehe

  • @f4ftantum haha

  • @f4ftantum

    Been there...

I'm from the states, and i frequently went to Canada to see her... i stayed in an old farm house when i was there.. id walk to her Job alone everyday to see her and this song would be playing on my mp3 player on the way, as the thick fog would blanket the scenery... it was surreal. She broke up with me, and i would listen to this song everyday, thinking of her, and moments like i just stated above..

  • @aNightmaresRequiem its bad to hear that ı hope she turn back you abaut me ı do the same ıam going to see her ı went to colombia soon and ı work ı work and stay there to much ı hope my my story is not gonna be same like yours ı know the she never leave me ı already do too many mistakes but ıcant stop thinking in that that scary and sorry for my bad english :D

  • @aNightmaresRequiem

    It seems pretty unfair :(

    I'm sorry man

  • @f4ftantum Haha, just listen to this song and you'll get drunk :)

  • @f4ftantum or Desolation Song

  • @f4ftantum

    1. listen this song

    2. weed hash

    3. drink

  • @f4ftantum If the girl I love leaves me, I've got to do 3 things:

    1. Drink

    2. Go to a titty bar

    3. Get some hookers

  • @Wyndrax lol

  • @Wyndrax HAHAHA. don't forget the cocaine, if you have the cash.

  • @f4ftantum

a desolation song is also perfect for the situation

  • @f4ftantum 1: Listen to this

    2: Listen to this

3: Listen to this again and again

  • @f4ftantum Ahhhh thanks for the advice... never thought id need it but here i am... bottoms up

  • @f4ftantum How about creating some music on your own of the pain that love might cause? Just think about it... The vastness of the universe, the fragility of our planet, of our echo-system, the fragility of the human body... And all that our minds are capable of creating; it doens't have to be anything else but introverted... In fact, I'm going to start composing a new song right now, I've got the right feeling. Thanks :P

  • @stakleni00 let me know when u done song ).

  • @f4ftantum Well, um... I haven't really written a song with that inspiration, but I have a bunch of other songs, plus I am recording some new stuff nowdays. It's not in the style of Agalloch, but I like it anyway. :)

  • @f4ftantum I might add: 4. rub one out.

  • @f4ftantum and listen to the song again :D

  • @f4ftantum U forgat : 4. Cut her throat with a knife 5. Drink her blood.

  • @BanOxyCred aahah i prefer kill other guy

  • You have really good music on your channel. I love this music because alot of it is related to black metal, the elements of black metal.

  • The intro is so sick xD

  • KSCIAA, you'r the man!

  • I think of this song every time it snows, like today.

  • Yes, music for the snow!

  • Dude, the winds here are gusting over 60 mph. I plow the drifts off the road and half an hour later (or less) they are filled in completely. This has been a good winter!

  • What a beautiful song.

  • and KSCIAA's pictures make them real magic. but i think ive said that a thousand times allready

  • this is music is magic. especially the "like snowfall"part. shame that agalloch records aren't easy to get in holland =(. i'd love to have all their records.

  • I've only ever found Ashes against the grain for a ridiculous price in amsterdam, but you can order them from germany for around 10 € each :]

  • amazon

  • one of the only metal groups i can actually still enjoy

  • omg great stuff!

  • What a talented group of musicians.

  • this song does not transport me to another world or make reborn however...

    ITS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

  • Great!

  • whoever likes this band should check out Ulver

  • @Zaghuran : well done!

  • Yah, Ulver's album "Kveldssanger" is so so good, shame they went down some weird jazz/metal/experimental/black metal weird route after that.

  • Bergtatt is good too sorry, stuff after those two is pretty awful imo.

  • I bought "Ashes against the grain" by Agalloch a little over a year ago and it is my favorite cd by far, I have never been able to replace it. I HIGHLY suggest purchasing it because there is nothing like it. After listening to it for the first time I felt like I was reborn, it is the most beatifully done album that I have ever heard.

  • The Mantle is the best album ever made

Ashes Against the Grain is somewhere in the top 10 too but doesn't touch The Mantle

  • Yourlocalguy, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyon... wait, nevermind.

  • I lol'd.

  • Best 4 ever ....

  • Amazing, and very atmospheric song !

  • Excellent atmosphere in production and generally amazing song.

  • 2:37

  • It snowed here in Portland Oregon recentley and I played this cd throughout the whole time and it was amazing. It transported me into a new world that you have to experience for yourself because it is hard to explain on every level that is possible.

  • wunderschönes lied... 5*

  • great band the lirycs are fantastyc

  • check out,,Empyrium-(mourners)!!!

  • meine standard musik in irland!

  • akh...the more i listen to this song, the more i love it. same goes for agalloch.

  • This band is so powerful. They can create such a powerful atmosphere without the use of blastbeats, excessively growled vocals, or excessive tremolo picking. Marduk/Dark Funeral etc.. are great, dont get me wrong, but to me, Agalloch's style requires a special skill. An atmosphere of such soft melancholy is difficult to create.

  • extremely well put. I completely agree with you. Not many bands can succesfully pull off this type of music. Another amazing melancholy project i've found is a 1 man band called "the fall of every season" Marius Strand is a musical genius in my opinion. And i feel his work needs to be more well-known

  • thanks for the fall of every season recommendation. its quite good unlike most doom.

  • I agree. The Fall of Every Season is a great project and it deserves much more atention. Also you should try Coldworld, another one-man-band.Also very good.

  • shit, I just checked out The fall of every season, i gotta buy that album I love it. Now to check out coldworld.

  • hey somebody help me out, I don't know the name of one of their songs, my friend was playing it on his stereo and didn't tell me. the rift goes "drrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....der der der drrrrrrrrrrrrrr" like over and over for like a minute in the beginning. anybody know?

  • That sounds a little bit like The Hawthorne Passage

  • Think it may be Falling snow. Check it out. :P

  • Try Not Unlike the Waves,it might be it.Great song, btw!

  • I think thats a riff in Not Unlike the Waves

  • @skateNappreciate The hawthorne passage

  • This is great. Uplifting for me. Thanks for the post.

  • going to go see them on the 30th of this month :)

  • you did brag about this on every damn agalloch on video, haven't you? :)

congratulations, i will have to wait til March to be able to see them

  • Luckyyyyyy.

  • Same here!

  • in portland? I went too. Did you enjoy yourself? Was definitley worth it. All the bands were quite unique, and it made for a great show. Cheers!

  • this band is so dark it takes me out of moment for a bit. it give me a chill that cant be stopped till the sad songs ending.

  • like snowfall.....

  • Fucking awesome and fucking nice picture

  • this is a really good song

  • Where do you get these amazing photos. This and Hawthorne Passage are probably my favorite songs by them, can say Ive heard a bad one though. I'd have to give these guys the best American Band Award.

  • I get them from Google image searches.

  • Yeah I just read your profile. But nooww I would like to than you for showing me Woods of Ypres

  • I love this band and opeth too...anything with mystery in its' atmosphere...also dead can dance, although not metal they are intriguingly progressive as well and very cool to trip out to...
