@Cosmick357 NO that is not correct for Amsterdam. For border cities like Maastricht it is true. The new government would like to do the same to Amsterdam, but Amsterdam's Mayor does not wish to have a weedpass. It wouldn't make any sense, however there is a lot of pressure on coffeeshops at the moment and the Dutch Minister says Amsterdam will have to follow cities like Maastricht by 2013.

This includes coffee shops, meaning they cannot smoke joints mixed with tabacco inside the shop no more, Weed is still allowed, openly without a smoking area. But smoking mixed joints is still kinda allowed, because the cops would have to rip open every joint to control it, so theres no problem really.
