Omar must have been inspired by "21st century schizoid man" by King Crimson on this one. Does anyone agree? Mainly the verse is pretty much the same thing whilst the bass based part that comes in at the last half of the song. this part is pretty much the same notes. I have no problem with that i think it's cool. Van der graaf generator have done it as well. They have pretty much stolen one part to one of their songs. What do you say?
This is one of the best songs on 'The Bedlam in Goliath' album! I loved this album so much I ordered their shirt from the mars volta shop, and it says 'The Mars Volta' and you can see the cover of the album on the letters. :]
When I went to school wearing, no one know who they were! It's a shame... because they're a really good band... But one day I was outside of the Band Hall, and this guy was driving and I heard 'De-Loused in the Comatorium' blasting out of the windows. :D
heh... I have that same shirt. it's weird because people young and old tell me all the time it's a nice shirt even though no one knows of the band. i guess the design interests everyone since no one says anything about my other clothes
Not my type of music but I HAD to check them out after hearing the story behind the 'Soothsayer' ouija board their little curse and playing the flash adaptation. Freaky ass shit right there.
Cedric has a squeaky voice? Paramore.... Panic at the disco.... screamo.... have you HEARD the shit that people are listening to these days? Get real.... let's see any of those buffoons exercise register control at 4:30
Im midly dissappointed in this album, but i agree this is the best song. It almost sounds like RATM. I would like to see how they are going to do on this song live though.

it's a huge monster of a riff, but I'm pretty sure Rage wouldn't pull this off in 17/8 timing like TMV have, no disrespect to Rage, they are mint.

yes, it does sound like rapid fire tollbooth.
it's just at a faster tempo and slightly different lyrics.
