That may be because BMW delivers new models first, then upgrade engine. The car above (the 328 at least) is a new car, with an old engine (at that time, being 1998). Look up the later 328i numbers
What? My 1995 325is makes 76 hp per liter. With a Conforti chip, which all it does is change the computer mapping it makes 86 hp/liter. GOT THAT? now read 'em and weep ....
2010 Mercedes S550? 69 hp/ liter.
2010 Audi A8? 74 hp/ liter.
2009 Mustang GT 69 hp/ liter
2009 Porsche Boxster 84 hp/ liter

@macthemec no not really...the rear springs were fkn, it was too slow and heavy and had a blow on the exhaust..then i had a drive in a mates Impreza and another friends Evo and realised what i'd been missing. dont get me wrong, i love beemers but in terms of performance and exhilaration they are over rated.
